I replaced the hot water valve. Two days later, a whining noise appeared when hot water was flowing to the machine. Initially, when the water begins flowing through the hot water pipe and the water is still cool, everyting is fine. The whining noise starts a bit later, when the water pipe is hot. What else could be wrong? Could it be the other valve (cold water?) I noticed that the cold water valve has two water connections, one of which is connected to the hot water pipe.

SOURCE: only hot water pipe going in

Don't know that particular make, but if there's only one water inlet available the machine should use its own electric heater. A "Wash Temp" setting switch should be available.

SOURCE: Cold water or cold & hot water connection?

If there is only 1 water connection on the back of the machine then it's a cold water supply only and the machine will be fitted with a heater element to heat the water. If it has 2 water connections then you need the hot supply and should ask someone to fit the correct isolation valve on the capped pipe so you can fit the required hose. Most modern machines are cold water only.

SOURCE: my bosch classixx 1200, my washing machine leaks

Remove top and check that they are your fill vaulves. Your hoses should be connected to them if so.If they are leaking on inside of machine when off then they need replacing.

SOURCE: just bought a new washer

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

You just need to collect the cold pipe- the washer does the heating itself for hot washes. It uses the water cold for rinses ;-0)
And for a manual-

you will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount. During the process you will be asked for the actual model number!

Good luck,
John C

Whirlpool awm 8125 fault code F09 followed by FA

The drain pump runs constantly in an effort to drain the water. Unplug the washer and, if the washer is overfilled, check the water inlet valve assembly for proper shut-off of water flow. If the water inlet valve assembly is defective, replace it. If the washer is empty when this error code appears, replace the water-level pressure switch.

LG washer high pitch noise when water enters at beginning of cycle

Two possibilities: the water is coming in under pressure through a solenoid valve that is not fully open or the pressure pump is whining on its bearings.

I have a 1988 Hotpoint top-load washing machine, Model # WLW 3500B. The water supply on the hot side appears to be constricted with very little flow. I checked the screen in the water supply hose and there...

Hi Eric,
Have you taken off the hose for the hot water at the back of the washer and then run it into a bucket to make sure the flow was good there?
If you have great flow there then the problem is in the washer...
If not then it is in your plumbing...you will need to track that down and fix it...
If it is in the washer then you probably have a problem with the fill valve or solenoid valve that opens to let the water in...they can either stick or get dirt lodged in them...either way replacement is probably the best option...

Depending on you lacality..IE Country, etc, you may be able to access the parts from a washing machine parts supplier.. Check the yellow/pink pages for business houses.. OR a srevice agent may sell the parts to you....Be aware that the inlet valves for hot and cold use are different on many models, and that you may void any warranty by installing yourself....Good luck....Nomess

No cold rinse, only hot

Either the wires have come loose on the water valve or you have a defective water valve.Open the lid and look at the water valve. Are all wires connected?
If yes, replace the water valve.

High pitched buzz/whine during wash cycle only, spin fine

1) Make sure valve is open all the way 2) some machines have a screen inside of the hose hook up which could be clogged. 3) last check to see if it is the hot or cold by switch your selector switch on your machine to hot then cold. If one of these positions eliminate the noise then the valve in the machine is bad.

Loud rattling grinding noise when pump is running, no water enters the machine.

Make sure the water is turned on to the machine, if it is then it sounds like a faulty water fill valve, just replace the fill valve, they can sometimes be cleaned but I would never trust one, they can always stick in the on position later and flood your house. Check to see if the valve is geting 120v ac before replaceing the valve, if it's getting voltage and no water is flowing then the valve is bad. You will need to borrow or buy a multi-meter for this test.

Kenmore Series 70 washing machine whines and low flow on cold H2O

Yeah you need to replace the water valve. To get to it you need to remove the cabinet on the newer direct drive models, If yours has a rear access panel then you simply pop the top to get to the valve after removing the hoses. Fairly simple job. Here is a good website for direct drive coupling replacement . It shows you how to open the cabinet. http://repair2000.com/coupling.html
GVI 151 is the generic part that fix all belt drive models. Direct drive will need its own little water valve buy hay it ain't but 20 bucks.
For a better explanation post you model number in the comment box and I will research it further for you amigo.
