My sony reader keeps freezing. It has been stuck in the on mode for more than 24 hours. I've tried to reset it. NOTHING. I've tried to do a hard reset. NOTHING. It was fully charged. I just plugged it into a laptop and it finally went off. The red light is on but there is no indication that it is actually charging on screen. What do I need to do?Can you have too many books? I'm lost without it and I've only had it 13 months...HELP!

Sound to could a lot of things ... it could software issue or the ram or hard drive error that might make the system freeze up or lock up doing certain things. if you did all the hard reset and everything means all the junk was removed and you starting with like new reader..... but it had issues still... most companies have 1 year warranty on the product.. but you had it for 13 months and it has gone past.. only thing i can tell you might need to replace it with newest version 2017 to 2018 might be coming out now or soon WILL be that was way better than the one you got. you did all the things i would of try solving the problem but still had problems...i hate to buy something cause cost money i (me) would just have to face it get a better one do a lot research it to see how well went for other people. i hope this helps ya you did all the right try make it work. now it is all up to you on what you want to do.

SOURCE: computer will not recognize prs600 when you plug

When this situation occurs, the Reader will not appear in the left pane of the Reader Library software or the Reader Library may shut down when connecting the Reader to the computer. Follow these steps to resolve this issue.
IMPORTANT: Before starting this or any troubleshooting procedure, verify that the Portable Reader has been updated with the latest firmware version and that the latest version of the Reader (eBook) Library software is installed on the computer. The latest firmware and software is available at the Sony Support Web Site.
NOTE: Because each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, open the Reader (eBook) Library software and connect the Reader to the computer after completing each step.

  1. If the reader is not recognized by the library software, close the software, re-open it and then check the connection status again.
  2. Verify that the Reader is turned on and is not locked.
  3. Verify that the Reader battery has an adequate charge.NOTE: If the Reader battery is discharged, allow the battery to charge for at least one hour before attempting to connect the Reader to the Reader (eBook) Library software.
  4. Verify that the USB cable is properly and securely connected to the Reader and the computer.NOTE: The USB cable should be connected directly to the computer. Connecting the Reader using a USB hub or extension cable is not supported.
  5. Verify that the Reader displays the USB connection indicator in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  6. Remove any Memory Stick® media or SD media in the Reader.
  7. Disconnect the Reader from the computer, close the Reader library software and restart the computer.
  8. With the Reader disconnected from the computer, perform a hard reset.
  9. With the Reader connected to the computer, uninstall and reinstall the Sony Reader USB driver.
  10. Install the Reader library software on a different computer and connect the Reader.
The troubleshooting steps listed above should resolve your issue. If you have completed all of the steps and the issue is not resolved, service may be required. Follow the below link to get it serviced: http://eservice.sony.com

SOURCE: I have already had to

Had and have same problem, reset may help. This problem is ignored by Sony "early models had charging problems".MaYbe because of this guarantee was prolonged to two years for readers sold from a certain date in 2010 but NOT FOR FIRST READERS THAT SUFFER MOSTLY from this problem. They know this problem exists but since "not mentioned on Sony site"it formally does not and you may send it in for repair at your own (considerable) cost. Besides the slogan 'MY FIRST SONY" now can be added "MY LAST SONY"

I lost my password, and have been having trouble resetting my password. i've tried several times, and waited the 24 hours, but i am still unable to get on. please help. thank you

Susan I'm sorry you are having a difficult time resetting your password on Facebook and I highly recommend you contact their support staff. The 24 hour period is a minimum time frame and it could take longer as well.
Due to your password being a secured entity on the servers for Facebook there is nothing more you can do than request the reset, create a new account, or contact their support.
Their phone number appears to be 650-543-4800 but it doesn't sound like they provide phone support. They do however supply email support and have a very extensive help center online.

I have charged my sony e readerPRS - 505. However

Connect the Reader to the Computer using the supplied USB cable and check whether it is charging,. If it's charging , then keep it connected from at least 4 hour to get it fully charged. If its fully charged, perform a soft reset. To soft reset, just press the RESET button. After soft6 resetting charge it for at least 4 hours., That should resolve the issue. All the best! !

My TGHK watch is stuck in ''military time'' and I've lost the instruction manual. Any ideas how to get it to am/pm mode?

advance the hours. The first time you go through the 24 hour cycle, it will be in am pm mode, the second time in 24 hour mode, the next time in am pm. Just keep advancing the hours until it comes up the correct time

Athletic wrist watch stuck in 24 hour mode

Maddening, isn't it? Fortunately the solution is here:

http://www.ehow.com/how_5593310_set-athletic-works-watch.html

1 There should be four buttons: mode, reset, start and light. Find the mode button and press it three times until it is in the set time mode.

2 Find the reset button, which usually is located on the bottom right side of the watch face, and hold it until the time starts blinking.

3 Press the start button to change minutes.

4 Press the reset button again to switch to hours. You will know it worked when the hour starts blinking instead of the minutes.

5 Press the start button to change the hour. The watch can handle two modes: standard and military. As you press start, the hour will change from AM to PM, noted by an "A" or a "P" in the top right. When you get through 24 hours, the watch will change to military time and an "H" will be displayed instead of "A" or "P." Keep pressing start to go through another 24-hour cycle and it will revert back to standard time.

Wont start up

First, check whether the Reader is fully charged, To check this, just connectthe Reader to the Computer using the SUPPLIED USB cable. Please keep connected it for at least 1 hour to make it operable. However, if the issue still persist, try soft resetting it. To soft reset the reader, just press the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object. That should resolve the issue.
