Does it have a setting to allow you to choose to print irregular sized photos.

You should do this through software or an app. Some type of photo editor. There are many to choose from ranging from free to the very pricey Adobe Photoshop. Standard sizes print direct from the printer menu, but custom sizes are not apparently available (from reading the manual online). You can do some editing, such as cropping, direct from the menu, but frankly, if I am going to do anything other than print a standard size with no editing, I always use software or an app for my android. Doing these things directly from the printer never gives me good results. The screen you are looking at on the printer is just too small. I don't even crop this way.

How to resize a picture or image to create a smaller size for convenient...

With the advent of the Megapixel camera , our photo's that we take are getting bigger and bigger. This is all good to have a nice and big resolution picture , but the trouble comes in when you try to e-mail a 4Mb picture on a limited internet connection.

There is lots of software out there that can re-size a picture or photo , but I prefer and recommend Pixresizer because its free and really easy to use.

Download Pixresizer HERE

Once downloaded , unzip the program and install it to your computer. If you do not have software to unzip it , please download winrar HERE.

Now open the program.

You have a choice of converting multiple files or a single file at a time.I'll be demonstrating how to convert a few files at the same time. The concept is the same for converting a single file.

Click on the "work with multiple files" tab.

4b865b2.jpg

  1. Select the folder where the photo's which you want to resize are located .
  2. Select the folder where the resized files are saved.
  3. Move the size dragging scale to select desired size.
  4. Select the output format (Jpeg is fine)
  5. Finally Save Pictures.

And that's all. I now converted 7.8Mb of photo's to only 200Kb which is a much more appropriate size for sending in a e-mail.

Please remember to rate this tip if your find it helpful.

I can't seem to print passport size photo on my mg6120

well depending on what program you are using to edit your photo. I know Photoshop has rulers on the top and sides of the screen so you could adjust you size that way. Or you can (in photoshop) select and preset the size you want the image to be and then open the photo, then drag and drop photo to the preset sized screen and the adjust photo to fit in the preset space.

Some other programs have adjustments to images in the top left of the screen and will say things like "crop" or "re-size" try using those tools, I know in most Windows running computers you have PAINT already installed. And the re-size tool should work for you. I will show by percent % how much you would like to re-size your image. so if you want it have the size of what you already have then type in 50% in the horizontal and 50% in the vertical and then apply and see if that's the size you need. if not then re-size again (but remember one you go 50% (or half size) you will most likely not want to go that much the next time because it will be re sizing your already 50% and then reducing that size by another 50% so 2nd and 3rd try i would go 80 or 90% each time until you have reached your size.

I could go on and on but see if that works if not let me know and i'll give ya some more options

Make sure you are using the uploader provided with facebook, verify that your photo size is allowed and that may help. Many newer high resolution cameras take a very hi resolution picture, and as a result the photo has too large of a file size. Download Jasc painshop pro free, or other photo editing software and try to reduce the file size of your photo. You can also reduce the pixel count from your camera before you shoot. Also remember that, the larger your file size the slower the picture will load. This will make it hard for friends and family to view your picture due to long download times.

Photo size too large for email

You can do that in 2 ways.

1) Shoot the photo or video in reduced size (less quality). This can achieved by adjusting the settings in your camera.

2) Use 3rd party software like photoshop or Microsoft paint to manually reduce the size using it.

Reduce photo size

Try Picassa. All you need to do is to make some basic correction. very very minimum that you dont even know that there is a change. save the photo back into a different location. You will see a change in the pic size.

Alternatively, google for Digital Photo Resizer. I used a trial version for sometime and it helped.
