Hi, reallly dunno,l i just conect my belkin router how i should conect and what is the problem. my belkin cant find a connection to computer, but i still have a connection. thanks for any solution

Are you trying to connect it in a wireless state? If yes it would ask for your wireless password.

You will need to check the wireless settings of the router
is there any computer connected to the router ?
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.

to make your router private u will have to get acces to ur router firs if u cant just reset the router from the back the log to the internet and if u cant conect type this192.168.1.101 the brand name of the router appear then enter the user name and pasword if u cant type ADMIN in the user then press enter then go to settings and chose WEP share key and type your password recomment to use a strong password ok then click save. also create a user name while u in thre ok. that will reset the router after that go to my network conection right click on ur wireless router name and go to propertis then chose the WEP share key and type the password then ok. that will set ur router privated ok. good luck

connect your laptop to your router via patch cord to be able to access the router configuration, then configure it, change the wep keys..etc

Hi, did you provide the network key/password when you setup the wireless conection on your computer? Is it detecting your wireless router (you should see your SSID or network name) when you click on your wireless icon (in the taskbar) and chose "show wireless connections". If you can acess to your router via it's configuration page(type the router's default IP address in your browser) you can go check the settings and change the key/passphrase if you dont remember it. If all of this is not working, you can also start from stratch. Reset the router to factory settings (check your manual) then reconfigure it the way you want, put the new infos in your wireless network connections properties and try again. let me know with more specific details if you still cant do it

May in your router MAC security is enabled.Which prompt your computer to conect .
first access your router with http://192.168.15.1

Type username as "admin" and password is "admin" or blank or "password"
then go to wi fi security then mac security then add your computers MAC addreses in allow list.

U can knnow your computer MAC addreses with following command.
type in start menu -> RUN -> "ipconfig /all"
u can see physical addrses it is MAC addreses.

have you tried resetting the network adaptor on the belkin, whictch provider are you using for internet connection?

Hi! Did you go into the router configuration through IE (Internet Explorer)?

Use WPA encryption . there will be an option in your router interface for this.

what you should have purchased was a modem/router and not a seperate router to connect to your modem, but the modem should connect to the cable/adsl port (wan) using the initial RJ45 lan cable, and then a lan cable from one of the 4 ports on the rear to each pc.
