I know support for A-10 Cuba has been terminated, but this problem is solvable independent of the game. I have managed to run A-10 Cuba on my 64-bit Vista computer by copying various .dlls to System32. However, it still has no audio, and has video glitches. Where can I acquire the knowledge base required to take this old game, and get it working, for real, on newer computers?

I've got the same problem, hoping to find a patch to fix it.
Did you manage to find a solution two years ago?

SOURCE: hello, my game earthworm1-2 dont

Hi, phoogland!

Older products aren't compatible with newer OS. The best way you can play these games is probably by emulating a virtual PC. Try installing Windows 98 on a Windows Virtual PC.

Here's a link to a detailed manual: http://www.essjae.com/virtualization/WinVPC-InstallingWin98.pdf

If this didn't fix your issue please let me know. Hope this helped you!

Error message unsupported 16 bit application

16 bit software is not compatible with 64-bit engines.
The lowest number of software bits, called bit width, a 64b system can sometimes run if lucky, is 32b.
16 bits is the equivalent of 1 byte.
64 bits is therefore 4 bytes wide.
This means that the 64b system reads digitally coded instructions 4 bytes at a time, as one function to perform.
So if it tries to read all 4 bytes of a 16 bit 1 byte program it just sees meaningless garbage.
In fact, the header of the program file will ID it as 16 bits so that the 64 bit system knows not to even try to run it, as random weird instructions could corrupt or damage the computer.

I have successfully installed prince of persia warrior within on my computer.it is 64-bit win-7. but the programme doesn't run. i also change compability mode to win XP,but it also doesn't run.it...

Play online and Windows version will be handled by the web site. It does not matter which windows version you are using. The game runs by the engine on the web site.
The same game on steam game site:

I have windows xp. The game I am trying to install requires 64 bit windows version

OK, so what's your question? If you don't have 64-bit XP and you want to know how to install the game, you can't. As it says, it needs 64-bit XP, and there isn't any way to make it run otherwise. Your only option is to install the necessary operating system.

Differences

Hi delta force,

The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way a computer's processor (also called a CPU), handles information. The 64-bit version of Windows handles large amounts of random access memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit system. For gaming, you need to view the system requirements on each game to determine if the software is compatible with 64bit. Not all games will work on a 64 bit processor. Some of the newer more graphic games are compatible with 64bit, but I'd check before you purchase. Also, when you purchase a 64 bit processor machine, you'll find that not all your old software will run under it. You may have some problems and will need to upgrade those versions to thier 64 bit version software, (if available). It's great when it works!

Good Luck and don't forget to leave a rating,

Thanks Mark

Cannot install Independent Games software

Vista has tons of driver issues on all games.
make sure you have all Vista driver and software updates. 64 Bit also will not run some games.
First choice the the Vista OS>2nd is video card drivers and third is RAM/Memory and then how much space is on the Hard Drive? Microsift does not like the free space to be below 15% free space. I am 90% sure its the VISTA Operating system that is the issue.
ask microsoft tech about that game or the MFG if unsure.

Scansnap 510 on Vista 64 bit system?

Yes, it *IS* possible to run your ScanSnap S510 scanner on a 64-bit Windows operating system (e.g., Vista 64-bit, Server 2008 64-bit, etc.) but you will need to contact Fujitsu customer support (go to Fijutsu's website and look up their telephone number) and ask them to send you the link (along with username/password) to download the 64-bit versions of the ScanSnap Manager software as well as the CardMinder & Organizer software (optional).

FYI, as of March 2009 that is, the 64-bit version of the ScanSnap Manager is 4.2 L14 and the actual file name that you'll be downloading from Fujitsu's website is called "ssWv42x64.exe" (220 MB file).

Again, this software is NOT available from the public portion of Fujitsu's support website due to legal licensing restrictions. Additionally, this is NOT the same thing as some of the "updates" for Vista they have floating around the public technical support portion of their website.

Hope that helps!

The router protocols (on air and ethernet connection) are independant of the operating system. Vista 64 bit will work with the router.

Flash player 9 on suse 10.1

NOTE: Since many proprietary video codecs, flash player etc.. are not available for 64-bit platforms, it is difficult to configure 64-bit machines for a complete multimedia experience. Hence it is advised that users new to linux use the 32-bit version of SUSE (32-bit SUSE works fine on 64-bit AMD machines)

Way to check would be open a terminal
type uname -a

If you use 32-bit Follow this page - http://tweakhound.com/linux/suse/101/installing_1.htm
I use ubuntu and to be able to compile flash you need dependencies to be met.
If you need more help, ask.

G'luck
