I had the power button replaced and the machine worked fine but somewhere between the repair shop and home we I plugged the machine in it only starts for about 5 seconds and then it shutdown. I removed the cover and notice a black wire and a white wire on a small connector that appears to connect to the motherboard was disconnected. I do not know where to reconnect it, perhaps you could tell me?

check the 2 pin or 3 pin Plug of Electric connecting cord first, no wire is opened or broke in it ?there is Fuse installed in this plug must replace with the same value,if the power runs in the dryer there are other possibilities which does not allow it to run ,must open the back n see after remove the power cord connection.there are other fuses as well in side the machine on the Electronic components Board.

Perhaps replace your power cord. Borrow power cord from repair shop. If it works it's the cord. Also if the TV is plugged into power bar make sure the power bar hasn't been inadvertently turned off.

Better call a certified Whirlpool appliance service shop and have a tech come look at it and possibly repair it.

Try removing the power cord and the battery, wait 30 seconds and then plug in the power adapter while the battery is not inserted. Then try to turn the machine on.

If this doesn't work, there is something serious wrong with the machine and it will need to be repaired by your local computer shop.

Make sure your machine cord secure in the machine. Check your home wall outlet too since you are able to get machine running away from your home. If none of these are the issues, definitely take back for repair. Jimmy

You have one of 3 things going on here.

1. Software related issue - If this is your case you're lucky! Just perform a hard reset and a restore by following the directions below.

Do a hard reset by holding down home and power buttons together until screen goes black. While holding down home plug the iPhone into your computer. iTunes should now prompt you to perform a restore.

2. Bad LCD - This would require warranty repair/replacement from Apple. If you're not covered you can google iPhone repair for a repair shop. If you want to do it yourself buy your parts on eBay. Not too hard of a repair if you are handy with electronics.
3. Bad Logic Board = Again if this were the issue you would have to use Apple repair under warranty or a 3rd party repair shop. You won't be able to figure out if it's a Bad LCD or Bad Logic board without swapping the LCD for a good one first.

Bad wire or a bad solder. you can have this repaired if you have the service manual of the computer as it shows the full anatomy of the machine. Or a local computer shop is always a good option.

If your unit was blowing fuses you must have had an overload somewhere. Your post is not clear. Does your unit run ten minutes after unplugging and replugging it? If it does then there is still a partial short in it somewhere which causes it to shut down for protection. It could be anywhere. Some detail on what happened prior to the fuse blowing would be helpful for diagnosis. You do not sound like you would have the expertise to troubleshoot this unit. I doubt there could be much wrong with it and the cost should be minimal. Find a reputable repair shop to handle the repair. Good luck.
