I have white spot on my ipad screen, any advice how to fix it?

    Hey i just learned how to fix the white screen of death all you do is hold the home button then while still holding down the home button hold volume up button then while still holding those buttons go head and hold the power off button and hold that until you see the apple sign and THIS REALLY WORKS SO TRY IT

I would recommend taking the ipad to the Genius Bar to have them review. This sounds like one of two things: a stuck pixel or backlight bleeding. The stuck pixel might be able to be resolved by massaging or flashing different colors on the display. Besides replacement, there is no fix for the backlight bleeding.

You may have a defective screen. Apple hardware is notoriously hard to fix. Take it to a Genius Bar or something.

Hi,

Unfortunately there's no simple troubleshooting steps that you could do to fix that kind of issue. Basically the LCD needs to be replaced already.

Oh, I don't think you can fix this. It sounds like your digitilizer has gone out. It can be replaced. This should be done by a person who knows exactly what they are doing. The parts can be found on Amazon or any Apple Store or even eBay, but make sure you get the right one when ordering online. Make sure it's an Apple product only.

How to replace I pad 2 broken screen
Is the screen broken or is it just the digitiser? There are many excellent videos available which take you through the process of replacing all parts of your iPad.

However, it is not something that can be fixed easily and you need to exercise great patience in dismantling your broken iPad and replacing the damaged parts.

Make sure you have plenty of space in which to work and place all the parts of the iPad around your working area so they are easy to reach.

Some advice too late for this problem: Always have your device powered with a cord for updates to operating systems.

With your charged device, again hold the power button and the "Home Circle" until you see a white Apple logo. Release the buttons and let it open up. That should have "Reset" your iPad.

It is quite possible that you will need the LCD replaced as it might have become damaged in the fall.. To see, reset the iPad by pressing and holding the home button and the power button at the same time, when the screen flickers and turns off release the home button only. If the iPad turns on but still has white screen, you most likely will have to have it replaced...

You can't. It's called a "stuck pixel"... a manufacturing or product defect. If it's under warranty, return it for repair or replacement. If not, you may be able to pay for a repair.

Whoever used the term "calibrating an iPad" may have been referring to touch screen calibration.

Some touch screens need to be adjusted, or "calibrated", or the device may act as if you touched a different spot on the screen than you did. The iPad screen does not need to be calibrated.
If the iPad make a mistake about what spot you touched, the error may be due to:
  • a defect or damage;
  • a screen protector;
  • a cold finger;

Broken screen
you should take it to the apple store. If they won't help you, You can try to replace the part yourself, it is available on any auction website. There is an iPad Repair service that can fix it for you, but if you're a little tech savy you should use an iPad repair guide that teaches you how to do the repair yourself.
