Hello.

Test your laptop at a different location to see if any difference.

If still the network adapter, first try to update the driver by going to Device Manager, find the network adapter and select update. You'll actually be reinstalling the current driver software.

If still a problem, the network adapter would need to be physically removed and replaced.

Hope this helps.

I recently purchased a Toshiba PA3761U-1DV2 external multi burner/reader. I have a Toshiba Satelite Vista SP2 32 bit. The included software won't install. However the drivers did install and

It usually better using the burn software that came with the multi burner because it will be compatible with your multi buner. Windows media player burning cannot be compatible to all the burners on the market.

Deleted some files from toshiba laptop and now I cannot connect to the internet

Try This:

Windows XP

Accessing Device Manager using Control Panel 1] Press the Start button. 2] Go to Settings, a new menu will pop out to the right. 3] Click on Control Panel. 4] When the control panel comes up, find the System icon and open it up. 5] When the System properties box opens, click on the Hardware tab. 6] You should see your 'Device Manager' button here. Click It.Expand your 'Network Adaptors' from this list, as shown below, using the [+] box.

Now locate your Wireless device, right-click it and select uninstall.

**If prompted, DO NOT uninstall your drivers also**

Now right-click your machine name at the top (I have blacked mine out in the above image for obvious reasons) and select the 'Scan For Hardware Changes' option from the menu.

Let it settle, reboot.

Windows Vista &Windows 7
Start>Right click Computer>Manage>Device Manager

Complete the steps from above to locate and uninstall Network Adaptor.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L500 with Win7 and cannot connect to the internet via high speed modem LAN cable. Internet works on my other computer using the same LAN connection, but it is running XP. I

So is your Modem from a phone company like AT&T? It sounds like it is because phone companies use what is called PPOE which is where the modem is configured with a userid and password to get out to the internet.

Cable providers use DHCP and don't require a userid and password.

If your other computer works using the network cable but your toshiba won't work using the same network cable, I think the phone company has configured your modem to only look at and accept your other computer. You can tell the modem to use specific MAC addresses which are unique to every device that attaches to the internet. You want your modem set up to use a range of addresses, not a specific one.

My software upgrades version 4.3 has not updated since dec. 6th, why?

Make sure your clock is set to the correct time. A lot of times you can get an error message when downloading software updates because the time or date is incorrect. Let me know if this doesn't help and we'll dig a little deeper.

Borrow other wireless adaptor, then plug it to your desktop. Try to connect ...but U must install the adaptor driver too. If it works, that means your internal adaptor is out of work.
