Have a Intel gateway mobo model number DG33SXG2. Looking for a newer bios than original 2007 date. Intel site is worthless for this. Also want to replace existing Q6600 CPU with a Q9650. Will this board support it without issues i.e. plug and play? Thanks ahead of time for the help

Gateway 5300S Desktop PC - need original Gateway PC BIOS

in my past experience when you change drivers or bios, you should be able to unistall the new and restore the old. if you go to Gateway web site enter your model info or tag into search, it will provide the bios, drivers and software updates to your model. if you pick BIOS when your model info is displayed and download it, it should be the old one or original if no updates are listed. the links sent you may have answered this already. i have gateway pc so thats what i do.

Gateway 5300S Desktop PC - need original BIOS

Hello you can try one of the bios file from here as it is a INTEL mainboard:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine=Intel%C2%AE+915+Express+Chipset+Family+Boards&ProductProduct=Intel%C2%AE+Desktop+Board+D915GAG

Try one of the preversions. Your current bios file could be damaged.
Download the exe file so you can update the bios while the system is running.Don`t use unautorized programs to upgrade the bios it could go very wrong.

I could not find the original bios file.
Have you entered a wrong model ?

Here is the gateway support site:

http://support.gateway.com/product/?cmpid=supportnav

If you find the model here please unzip the file before you go any further.
And be 100% sure its the right model.

Hope this will help you

I'm upgrading my RAM from 4Gb to 8Gb 1333Mhz DDR3 kinsgton to my DH67CL mobo with an intel i3 2120 2nd generation processor.. When I started my desktop, there was no display, so i took one stick of 4Gb...

you are confused ( the rules are not singular ever)
first of all these are the rules on DDR3 (any mem) upgrades
  1. gateway manual covers this but no GW model told.
  2. bios shows its ok or upgraded , bios now works.
  3. chipset allows this DDR3 and that same density
  4. not violating slot limits or both at once limits
  5. matching sku on DDR3, says intel clearly.
  6. no PC does 32BG with that chip set,. (none sold so no way on the earth to test it ever in that YEAR NEW) but is a logical limit only in the i3 MMC. per its datasheet intel.com
  7. try the bios upgrade,
  8. NO OS told at all, nor how you know 8GB fails does bios see it>????? if the OS is 32bit max is 4GB (3.2GB with video stealing VRAM from Dram per chipset H67.
  9. is this a real intel mobo?> as some are, then if yes ask intel too for help.
  10. intel bios is BLH6710H.86A date. Version 0162 or later 2018
  11. Most old mobo do not like super new DDR3 it high density DRAM on the sticks, some do if bios upgrade.
  12. Intel is mute now on this Discontinuted product. theirs"

Gateway M what does this mean,????
M is notebook not desktop so you posted to gateway forum for any intel actual mobo
DH67CL if this mobo came from intel new, then only ask them or post to intel forum not gateway
but gee I do know some old makers of PC simply stuffed in this mobo into there cases and sold it by there name.
but no GW model told AT ALL.
been here yet

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000021462/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards.html

RTM from maker, do as they say.
and over 4GB needs 64bit OS.
the 32GB limit includes PCI memory too,
see page 40 , and know that your unstated OS must know how to use the upper memory bank of the MMC controller
4 slots of DDR3 are there. (4x8=32) make sure BIOS likes it first NOT WINDOWs (if is>?) bios is first and bios tells windoz how much DDR3 is there, and works with that.
32BG is possible if all things are correct
BIOS if it scans the SPD chip in the DDR3 each , and BIOS is does not know what it sees , it will truncate DDR. max.

Foxconn 945G7MA-8EKRS2 Motherboard will not post with pentium d cpu ,i have even updated with the lates bios flash,

Good day,
According to Intel 945G chipset supports Celeron D up to Core2Duo. Intel Gigabyte's 945 DS3 even supports up to Core2Quad. GByte Foxconn has 3 mobo bios from there site. Foxconn
According to their date: Latest to oldest
4BFF1P56 No Version 4BFF1P40
Have you tried installing the no version bios? In my experience some latest bios have some problems with other devices so try to use the no version bios. or try a different mobo bios with the same chipset from Foxconn. below are two foxconn mobo models i can't see the difference.
945G7MA-8EKRS2 945G7MA-8EKRS2H
Update at your own risk..
hope this helps, thanks for posting.

Hello there, I have a Gateway GT5628 Desktop, I reinstalled unstated OS after replacing my Hard Disk drive which crashed. Now I have problem can not install Audio and Video driver,. which is an...

if it is the original video card on your PC you should be able to download the drivers and other software related to hardware from Gateway webpage. i have used it many times to download or upgrade drivers, software, bios, etc.
you go there put in your model number info and it should have all that stuff including manuals? i cannot believe they would not direct you there. Unless, your pc is too old and they dont have it on web? my laptop is about 6+ years old and its support page is still there.

Motherboard dead

Dear Daddimone4

The MoBos you are looking at will work fine if they are all ATX like your old one. BUT, check the boads for Socket matching with your processor, and also check see if they are AUTO processor speed detect or Manual.

If your operating system is NTFS platform like XP, you will need to EITHER reinstall the OS, or chose REPAIR options to replace just windows and updated BIOS files without messing up your generic documents. If you have non NTFS OS like Win 98, It will only ask for updated BoMo drivers. If you need more help with that part, just POST.
