No audio mixer device

Hi,
I don't really understand the problem, but have you tried pressing Volume up and down buttons and the mute/unmute button?
Also, if you've done that, and it did not work, try clicking on Volume button and then Mixer, if that did not help, try going to Control Panel/Sound and there you can adjust souns settings.
If nothing helped, then just buy speakers for your computer.

Sorry for the thing that I did not arrange everything in steps, just really am tired today. Hope that the solutions help!

AS you state the "device is working properly" so it must be something else.
Try playing a music CD and if the music looks as if it is playing, it probably is and there is a mechanical problem with the headphone socket or the volume is not activated.
Check the Mixer Console by r/hand mouse click the loudspeaker icon and select Volume mixer.

Can you please tell me if when you turn on the computer if you are getting sound windows sound. then it is some settings in the computer check if mute is not checked or check in device manager if the correct sound drivers are installed.

No Sound, No Volume Control, Mixer not Found, No Sound device installed…etc etc, This is a generic issue with all Windows OS updates....many of the users are facing this issue....this began after an auto update from MS changed many IRQs of Win OS, mainly the Sound and Audio Control system of Windows.
1 - R U facing NO Audio / No Sound issue...?
2 - Is ur Volume Control not responding ?
3 - Is ur Sound and Audio Device in Control Panel Grayed out ?
4 - Do u get a msg "No Active Mixer Devices Installed....when u try to open Volume Ctrl etc etc ?

If ur ans to any one of them is Yes...then u are being spammed by Microsoft....as ur Sound Control IRQ is being frozen by a recent update from Microsoft....
NOTE..THIS…IS…VERY..IMPORTANT...
No file update or any sound driver update can fix it, neither Microsoft is issuing any patch to fix it…or giving any help on this.

Plug the speakers into the green connector first of all.

Make sure the speakers/amplifier are working on another source.

Since you have the volume control on your systray (it is there, right?), you do have an audio card installed (or integrated one at least).

This has to do with a WinXP WIndows Update perhaps.
