I have a JVC AV-65WP74, I went to bed watching the TV then turned it off for the night but the next day when I turned it back on the blue light came on on the TV but no picture, the TV makes a fast clicking noise followed by 4 or 5 louder clicking noise which sounds like heart beats

The clicking you hear is probably caused by a relay that controls the incoming AC to the main power supply. This is a protective reaction to a problem in the power supply itself or an overload due to a failure downstream from the supply. This is not a likely DIY repair. You will probably need a technician to determine which of these two likely problems it is.

Yes it is worth fixing . You can fix it yourself for about $ 21 . You need to replace the convergence I.C. chips , The part # is STK392-310 . you need two of them . You can get them from bluestar-online.com . They are about 6 bucks a piece and about 10 for shipping .

My tv the JVC AV-65WP74 the tv works its just the colors are split in half one is blue and other red like if it was 3d tv

hi, needs convergence ic`s replaced, possibly a couple of precision resistors, it needs a tech, this is not an easy job for a non tech, here in central fl. it runs $256, hope this helps, video-tek

Hi, sounds like your convergence IC`s have failed if one of the colors doesn`t adjust either up/down
or left/right. If you have soldering equipment and are very proficient at soldering you can replace them. if not you definitely need to call a tv tech, if you need more info ask away, video-tek

This model is full of problems, I had the same reapir done abput 2 years ago and now my convergence is shot. either fix it yourself or throw it out!

It was such a nice tv while it worked.
