Put a small amount of vinegar in the coffee pot, fill with water "12 cups" add contents to main unit and turn on, when finished! empty pot in sink and refill coffee pot with water only and cycle it through three to four times to make sure the vinegar is flushed out of the lines, adding fresh water each cycle.

Outside cleaner for Kenmore Elite Bottom Freezer Model 795-71033-010 S/N MRCJ01195

Any good quality kitchen cleaner can be used to clean the outside, but don't use the ones with bleach or those that are an abrasive like Comet because they can cause rust spotting. Then after rinsing, and drying you can treat the stainless steel with stainless steel cleaner, or even Baby Oil.

Clean iron?

Hello tcant....
  • 1 Fill the iron's steam receptacle with white vinegar or CLR, a product used to clean coffee pots. CLR is available in department stores.

  • 2 Plug in and set the iron to its steam setting.
  • 3 Operate as usual. When the vinegar or CLR begins to steam, operate the iron as you would normally. Press it over an old, clean towel as the vinegar or CLR loosens sediment and dirt from the appliance.
  • 4 Continue ironing until all of the cleaning solution has steamed out. Repeat the cleaning process if necessary until the iron no longer oozes discolored liquid and the ironing surface is clean.
  • 5 Fill the iron steamer receptacle with distilled water and set the appliance to steam.
  • 6 Continue steaming until the smell of vinegar or CLR is gone.
  • 7 Prevent future mineral buildup by using distilled water for steam in your iron, rather than tap water. Joe. Thanks for choosing Fixya!

My parents gave me their old espresso machine, it looks gross when I take the top lid off. How do I ensure it is properly cleaned? It's the Krups allegro fnd 112

You can buy coffee pot descaling products at the grocery or department stores, or you can use a vinegar and water solution to break down the mineral deposits. You can use a cloth to start the cleaning, but scrubbing with abrasives is not a good idea.

If you use a retail product, follow instructions; if you use vinegar, use half water, half vinegar. Run it as though you were making expresso, using the frother while you do it. The frother can also be taken apart and soaked. Afterward, run the machine with clean water until all traces of the vinegar are gone. If it is really dirty, you may have to do it several times. Thanks for using fixya.

Steam not released through spout but trapped

is the spout clogged? Try running vinegar through it, CLR is a good product, but may stay the plastic, if not eat it, so I recommend vinegar to clean the deposits that plug things up, it may smell a bit, but usually works. Once cleaned, use distilled water to keep it from happening again, or just clean regularly with vinegar.

Is there a product on the market that I can use to clean the inside of my Maytag dishwasher? We have very had water and there seems to be a hard crusty film build up inside. The dishes are not as clean aas...

    Hello

    I have used Vinegar myself.
just placed a large cup full in the top rack and ran it through with no dishes in the dish washer.
and once the dishwasher was clean we used a small amount of vinegar to clean the stainless steel bowls and silverware and glass.

I have also used this product:

and it also worked..... although there are restrictions ( no stainless steel dishwasher tubs ).

    Miele descaling funnel?

DO NOT USE THAT MUCH VINEGAR! Put a tiny bit of vinegar in the carafe and fill carafe the rest of the way with water. Run that vinegar/water through machine. Using another container, fill machine with plain water and run that through. Repeat until the vinegar taste is gone. If you do not run lots of plain water through the machine after, your coffee will taste like...um...disgusting! Also, use a spell-checker before improving this posting.
    **************
To clean hard water deposits from a coffee maker use distilled white vinegar. You may need to use as much as a gallon if the scale buildup is really bad. Fill clean coffee pot one half full of vinegar and run through machine as if making coffee. Repeat this process several times using fresh vinegar until it comes out clear. Do this once a week and your maker will work much better. **************
Use citric acid or LEMON JUICE CONCENTRATE instead of vinegar. It cleans just as well but doesn't leave the funky odor that vinegar does. You can run enough water to get rid of the vinegar taste, but the odor will linger for days or weeks. Much better to use lemon juice concentrate (no pulp!!) or one of the commercial products like the one available from Starbucks.
