Connect your MP3 player with the supplied USB cable to your computer. The computer will detect this as an external storage device, then click on this device and go to the music folder. You can create a new folder/s inside the music folder and you can copy your mp3 audio files into the folders you have created.
You most likely need to convert your audio book files into mp3 files.

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

I cannot get my Sansa Clip MP3 Player to play recorded books. I downloaded the book chapter by chapter and I can see them when I use the computer to explore the player. I cannot get the player give me...

Audio books should be listed within the Music folder on your clip.. just scroll until you see it.

You may have to manually put the audio book into that folder via My computer beforehand.

WIndows media player does not recognize the audio book subfolder and will mix your audio books into the album mix.. but just ignore this

How do i put audio books on my philips SA32xx? what kind of file does it need to be?

File? MP3 is standard. I myself have changed a few audio books as well as radio shows (War of the Worlds by Orson Wells) to MP3 format for my player, and have had perfect results.

Get yourself a decent FREE audio converter2_bing.gif from http://www.koyotesoft.com/indexEn.html

It's user-friendly. Just put your audio book (disc) into a drive, use the free audio converter to "rip" file(s) into a folder (while changing the format), and wait for it to finish.

TIP:
Set it to save "output files" as MP3 at 128-kbs, in whatever folder you choose... this creates a sound and rate of playback that is equal in composition to a store-bought CD. Also, remember to create a seperate folder (or sub-folder) for each project. This keeps files you want saved on your pc orderly.

Place the file(s) onto your player in the manner suggested by it's manufacturer (usually drag & drop). Que it up on the playlist and enjoy!

I have Audio books that I want to put on my mp3 player, but I dont know how to get it to sync to my device and go into the Audiobooks instead of Music

First download the driver from your player's manufacture's site. It will be under download tab or support tab.
Download and install driver, then restart pc

Then turn on device, then plug into pc, then go to my computer, then you should see your device there. Double-click on the device folder. Now you can see and will have access to all folders.
You can leave this page up, then go to the page & file that your book is on. click, hold, and then drag this file over to the audio book folder and release the button, it will transfer the book to the mp3 player audio book file.
You can also use windows media player 11 and sync your mp3 player to your windows media player and create a playlist or library and transfer them onto mp3 player as well

I am downloading audio books to my MP3 and wondered how i could get a folder that said Books in the MP3 player instead of them going into music.. thanks

Hi reeves362,
Do you load your data through something like Content Transfer or Media Manager? Enter the Walkman device directly from your Computer by double clicking, and create a folder there, titled "Books". Now manually copy-paste the audio books into the folder.
However, it all depends whether your player recognises drag and drop (if it's sony, it should). Hope this helps.

Sansa Clip Audiobook Question

Once I downloaded the newest firmware the audiobooks folder started showing up in the windows file explorer. So now I don't have to worry about using media player or anything else. I just plug in my sansa clip, open windows file explorer and drag the folders (1 for each disk) onto my player (into the audiobooks folder).

Here's the link for the download. If it doesn't come up you might want to reformat your sansa clip.
