If windows XP check My Documents, my scans or scanned documents. If Windows 7 and not in Documents....look in libraries, pictures. If Mac or Linux you might check Home or a folder with the primary user name on it in the root or home folders. If neither place it might be in a temp folder or other location depending what location is set for default for the printer to save to. Some printers create their own folders to save to by default. Try scanning another image and watch close to see where it saves to.

Hope this helps......

I am trying to scan a document, and have scanned it to "word" and to "email" and to Internet explorer, on the scan choices, but can't find it anywhere on my computer. Plus, when it...

A quick to fix to most communication problem is to reboot your system. Disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your computer. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Try to scan again. When scanning using the scanner glass, the scanner light will move across the glass to scan your original document. The printer will then process the image and sends it to your preferred application on your computer.

Im trying to scan photos and ad them to my computer and i dont seem to have the know how can you help

I will list the steps that will allow you to scan your photos.

1. Turn on your computer, let it bootup, then turn on your printer.
2. Locate the "HP Imaging Director" icon on your computer ( placed there when your printer was
installed on your computer), double click it and a screen will appear which shows the scanning
options of your printer.
3. Lift the printer's lid and place a photo on the glass top.
4. Click "Scan Picture" from the scanning menu.
5. The scanning lamp will come on and make one pass under the photo, as this is happening,
your photo will appear on your monitor, allowing you to see the scanning result.
At this time, you can make adjustments, if you wish, to the scanned photo or accept it as is.
6. Click the "Accept" button and the scanning lamp will make a final pass under the photo.
7. The photo can be seen in the HP Photo Gallery or your computer's My Picture folder.

I hope this helps you.

Hi,
If you want to scan open Microsoft Word and go to Insert -> Picture -> From scanner or camera.
You can do the same with Paint. Go to File->From scanner or camera.
Then you will select your scanner and scan your document or photo.

Scan photos to computer

You need a scanner to scan the photos. I have a canon scanner and it works pretty well. That printer does not scan photos. it just prints them.

To scan a picture into your PC you will need the Epson Scan program installed on the PC. This program comes on the CD with the printer, but if you don't have the CD it can be downloaded from Epson:

It may already be installed, if you have Windows go to the Start menu and look for Epson Scan Utility. Turn the printer on and place your photo on the glass under the scanner cover. Click on Epson scan and you can choose 3 methods. Fully automatic, home mode or proffessional mode. fully automatic is the simplest method, simply click on the scan button. For the others be brave and experiment!

Hope this helps, please take a moment to rate this solution. Thanks.

No epson scan icon

1. Make sure you have the latest drivers and software installed. (see attached link)
2. Search for the scan tool using your operating system. (In Windows for example you press the "windows" key and the key "s" simultaneously on your keyboard and just type "scan". You should get a list with all matching results.)
