I have a jvc gr-d40 digital video camera. I have mislaid my installation software and recently upgraded my computer to windows vista 64 bit O/S. Would your software allow me to find the appropriate drivers to transfer my video tapes to my computer.
I hope you can help.

providing Vista correctly detects AVC-compliant firewire devices, /any/ camcorder which is compliant with this specification (hence has iLink/i400 connection) should work with it.
Hi!
I had the same problem. I just find a working driver for my IEEE1394 here:

Download this:
ubCore™ 5.20 for Windows Windows XP/Vista 64 bit
After I installed it, my Vista can see my camcorder, but JVC drivers still missing. I wrote a mail for JVC and I'm waiting for the reply.
This is all I can help at the moment.

Try reversing the actions you made to see if you can restore operation of your capture program. And if you do, I would suggest that you do not reinstall in your computer the software for the still pictures since there is a conflict. Better still, If you have a system restore point dated before you introduced the still software, I would try that first . Good luck!
