I have a Merlin Magix 4424LD+ phone and the display not working. I bought a new one to replace it but the display did not work either? Is there any programming caused this display to be off or stop working?

Just to verify are you using a 4wire cable that has power? If you have moved environments it is possible you might have to get the aux ac power adapter that you plug your cables into to power the display.

SOURCE: MERLIN MAGIX R.4 WITH 412TDL

Hi, well usually when this happens on ones i get into the shop, these are usually faulty in the area of the control CPU, and or the driver for the display.

Often it is bad soldering on the crystal or the PLL IC. In any event, this is NOT a problem that can be sorted by DIY.

To repair this phone it would have to be returned to the manufacturer, for a "Quote" as to the cost of the repair.

In all honesty though, most often repair isn't an option and the cheapest way usually is to obtain a new unit.

I need to find a part, if possible, for a Magix 4406+ Display. It is a two prong adapter that plugs into the console in which the phone cord is attached to. I have a picture but I guess couldn't send it in...

O.k., now I know what you meant by a 2 prong adapter. I was thinking it was a power adapter thats used on some of the multifunction sets. The one pictured should work fine, and you did describe it well.

How do I programm the Speed Dial on my 4406D+?

To program your Personal Speed Dial numbers, make a list of
your telephone numbers/extensions numbered 1 to 24, then:
Press an Intercom button + lift handset + dial #00 + dial # + list number (01 to 24) + dial *21 + the number you want to store + #*00.

To use Personal Speed Dial:
1: Press an Intercon button.
2: Press Feature (if you have programmed a "Feature" button) or #.
3: Dial the two-digit code (01 to 24).

How do I change the time on a 4412D+ avaya phone?

Assuming that you have a Merlin Magix and not an IP Office. You will need to do this on a 4424LD+, not the 4412, though.

Problem using headset - why the handset has to be off hook

Be sure the headset you have is compatible with the Merlin Magix and a 4424 L4D+ phone. You will need to program both the headset status and headset hangup buttons. Headset status will negate the need for lifting the handset. and the hangup button is used to disconnect the call.
