BRUSH WON'T TURN ON THE STAIR ATTACHMENT

A modern cylinder type cleaner often uses a stair attachment with a rotating brush bar that is driven by a turbine driven by the air passing through the attachment. If the brush bar turns easily by hand then it isn't jammed and the fault could be related to a loss of suction reducing the amount of air being consumed by the vacuum.

Try servicing the cleaner; emptying it, cleaning/replacing the filters and ensuring the internal and external hoses are completely clear,

Vax customer support

It is unclear as to whether you have a vacuum cleaner or a carpet
cleaner. When there is no more give you have stretched the hose
to the MAX. Vacuums and carpet cleaners come with stair tools.
If for some reason you do not have these go to a local vacuum
store and tell them what you have and ask them what you may need.

Shark SV736R motorized brush won't rotate

The 2 metal pins of the motorized brush are not in contact with the vacuum cleaner. or the Motorized brush is clogged up. You have mentioned that it is cleaned, but still give a thorough inspection. For the metal pins, firmly insert the motorized brush into the air-intake nozzle. This will connect the motorized nozzle to the unit power supply.

No suction with attatchments

if you have cleaned all the filters, there are two you need to wash and the hepa on the back may need to be changed, but the hose is probablly clogged. You can usually remove the hose ( twist it where the hose connects to the machine ) and use a broom stick to try and push the clog out.

Constantly sprays water
Posted by elstretcho on Apr 25, 2008
Hoover F7452-900 SteamVac Upright Vacuum
I noticed recently that our Hoover F7452 All Terrain constantly sprays water. As soon as I turn it on, whether or not it's set to Rinse or Auto-Rinse, its leaking water at the brushes. I probably wouldn't have noticed but I attached the hand-held adapter to clean our stairs and when I was done there was a HUGE pile of water under the vac. I took everything off and cleaned really good and looked again this morning and its still doing it. Any ideas?

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
You probably have a bad trigger release valve or a loose connection @ the bottom of the SteamVac or the gasket under the solution tank in not sitting on there right and is leaking or you may have a small cut in the hose, but it so may guess that it is a bad trigger release valve or a bad gasket. Check with your local vac dealer to see if they have a new or a good used one to see if there is the problem or back track the problem from the bottom to the solution tank. So If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
