Thermostat recognizes wifi but remains off-line

f your thermostat either displays a no Wi-Fi icon on its screen or shows up as offline on the Lyric or Total Connect Comfort app, it is missing the connection to the Wi-Fi network.
A few preliminary things to check:
  1. Does your thermostat have power? If not, check to make sure your C wire (common wire) is connected to your Honeywell thermostat. All Wi-Fi and connected thermostats (except the Lyric Round model, which can operate using Phantom Power/Power Stealing) requires a C wire to power your thermostat. Regardless of model, if you use Apple HomeKit with the thermostat, a C wire is required. If you are not sure that you have a C wire, please reference our Thermostat Wiring Compatibility page for more information.
  2. Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostats are only compatible on the 2.4 GHz frequency. Newer routers can operate on multiple bands, usually 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz. Please check that your router is emitting on the 2.4 GHz frequency.
  3. Check the distance between the thermostat and the router to ensure that the thermostat is in range of a Wi-Fi signal. A simple way to check this is by looking at the Wi-Fi signal range on a mobile device when standing near your thermostat, but note that most mobile devices usually pick up 2.4 GHz & 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi signals. In extreme cases a Wi-Fi range extender or repeater may be needed to ensure you have sufficient 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi coverage throughout your house or business.
  4. Check that your router's firewall doesn't block the thermostat.
In addition, please follow the next steps:
  1. Make sure your Wi-Fi router is powered and broadcasting. Restart your router by pressing the OFF/ON button or by unplugging the device from the socket for approximately 5 seconds and plugging it back in.
  2. If the problem persists, please reset your thermostat. Reference your user manual for instructions on how to reset your thermostat. The manual or quick start guide will have come inside your thermostat's packaging.

I have a Roku in my bedroom & when I try to watch Netflix it just spins & spins & takes forever to load. Once it starts, it stops & starts spending again.

First step, of course, is to unplug the Roku for 10 seconds then plug it back in again and let it connect.

Assuming a Wi-Fi connection is what you are using, it is possible (likely) that your Roku is too far from the Wi-Fi router. Your best solution is to relocate the Wi-Fi router closer to your Roku, or to get a signal booster to extend the range of your Wi-Fi signal.

On a more technical note, your Wi-Fi router may be broadcasting on a channel that has lots of conflict with other Wi-Fi signals in your neighborhood. Changing the broadcast channel requires that you have an administrator login to your router and can make changes. You might have to call your service provider and have them make the changes for you (if you smile right over the phone, they may give you your router's login information, but don't count on it). Best channels to select are generally 1, 6 or 11 to avoid overlap with other channels.

If you have a smart phone and can download an app, look for a Wi-Fi Analyzer app (free). This will show you the other signals around you, what channel they are broadcasting on, and the strength of the signal.

Hoe can i connect my ipone to wiifi on my belkin router

Wi-Fi settings determine whether iPhone uses local Wi-Fi networks to connect to the Internet.
Turn Wi-Fi on: Choose Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on.
Join a Wi-Fi network: Choose Wi-Fi, wait a moment as iPhone detects networks in range, then select a network. If necessary, enter a password and tap Join (networks that require a password appear with a lock icon).
Once you join a Wi-Fi network manually, iPhone automatically joins it whenever the network is in range. If more than one previously used network is in range, iPhone joins the one last used. When iPhone is joined to a Wi-Fi network, the Wi-Fi icon in the status bar at the top of the screen shows signal strength. The more bars you see, the stronger the signal. Set iPhone to ask if you want to join a new network: Choose Wi-Fi and turn "Ask to Join Networks" on or off. Join a closed Wi-Fi network: To join a Wi-Fi network that isn't shown in the list of scanned networks, choose Wi-Fi > Other, then enter the network name. If the network requires a password, tap Security, tap the type of security the network uses, and enter the password. You must already know the network name, password, and security type to connect to a closed network. Some Wi-Fi networks may require you to enter or adjust additional settings, such as a client ID or static IP address. You can type it manually by login onto the Belkin's network page using the browser and by copying the static and dynamic IP address.

I purchased a new IPOD and I can not access the wifi from my Linksys wireless router.. I reset my Linksys router to try to solve this problem. And at first when the light was amber I was able to have...

Resolution If you know there is a nearby Wi-Fi network, but you are unable to locate it on the Settings > Wi-Fi screen:
  • Move closer to the Wi-Fi router or hotspot.
  • If you are using a personal Wi-Fi network, verify the Wi-Fi router is connected to power and turned on.
  • Wi-Fi networks configured as "closed" or "private" do not broadcast the network name to Wi-Fi devices.
    • Join a "closed" or "private" network by tapping Settings > Wi-Fi > Other and entering the Wi-Fi network name, security, and password.
After joining a Wi-Fi network, if you notice the signal strength is low or intermittent
  • Move closer to the Wi-Fi router or hotspot.
  • Check for any sources of potential interference.
  • Remove any cases or attachments on your device that could interfere with a Wi-Fi signal.
If you are unable to access the Internet while connected
  • If you are using a commercial Wi-Fi network that requires a special login or subscription, see this article for more information.
  • If you are in a location with multiple Wi-Fi networks, verify that you are selecting the correct network.
  • Verify that the Wi-Fi network settings are correct:
    • Tap Settings > Wi-Fi.
    • Locate the Wi-Fi network you are currently using and tap ts1398_2.jpg
      blank.gif
  • You can configure network-specific settings, including IP address, DNS, and Search Domain settings.
  • Use "Forget this Network" to reset settings for this particular Wi-Fi network, including the password. This is also useful if you identify a network issue and want to prevent the device from automatically using this network in the future.
  • Use "Renew Lease" to acquire new IP address, DNS, and Search Domain information from the Wi-Fi network.
  • Note: If the Wi-Fi network uses MAC address filtering, you will need to add the MAC address to the access list for the Wi-Fi router. The MAC address for your device is listed as the Wi-Fi Address in Settings > General > About.
If you are still unable to join a Wi-Fi network, or are unable to access the Internet while connected, try the following
  • Restart the device
    • Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the power button to turn it back on.
  • Reset network settings by selecting Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings, including passwords, VPN, and APN settings.
  • iPhone only: If you continue to experience issues, consider turning off Wi-Fi and using the cellular data connection instead of Wi-Fi.
Additional Information If using a Wi-Fi router at home, refer to your user manual/documentation to assist you with some of these suggestions.
  • Check the manufacturer's website for your Wi-Fi router for firmware or software updates.
  • Verify the Wi-Fi router can broadcast an 802.11b/g signal. If using a 802.11n Wi-Fi router, consult the manual/documentation for how to configure the Wi-Fi router for 802.11b/g compatibility.
  • If you are using multiple WEP keys on your Wi-Fi router, try configuring your Wi-Fi router to use only a single WEP key.
  • Try or resetting (or turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router. Note: If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
  • Disable wireless encryption or security on the Wi-Fi router to rule out encryption issues. If this resolves the issue, try using a different encryption or security protocol.
