Main Oven does not get warm:
My Zanussi integrated ZHF470X Oven has suddenly stopped working. The Main over light and fan come on but the oven does not get warm.
The top Oven and Grill work but another person who also uses the appliance said that the grill was taking longer to heat than normal.
Is this a simple thermostat replacement or other spare part or will I need an engineer to come out?
i have the same problem, i was wondering if you could tell me how much it cost to repair this problem? ive been quoted about £100i have the same problem, i was wondering if you could tell me how much it cost to repair this problem? ive been quoted about £100

This tutorial will show you how to check your Zanussi element and how to replace your Zanussi cooker element.
Here are the 3 main faults to look for in your oven or cooker that is not heating
Your oven will not work until the clock/timer has been re-set after replacing an oven element or tripping the electrical supply. Consult your Zanussi manual.
If you're Oven is not getting hot or heating up it could be a faulty element, if the fan in the oven is running and the thermostat light is on, this will lead us to believe that the element has gone faulty. With grills the thermostat light should come on there should be heat, if not then this could be the grill element or the thermostat.
When you turn the oven on, the household electrical supply trips on the Rcd (this is the earth trip in the fuse board sometimes called the breaker tripping) your fan oven element has gone to earth and needs replacing.

hi not sure if you've had a reply but when my zanussi main oven stopped working i just changed the element (purchased from e bay).
open oven door and the back you will see 4 screws(basically 4 corners) remove these screws and you will see the element, pretty straight forward to remove, obviously fan wont work until you have heat (hopefully fan ok) you can give this a go, cheaper than buying a new oven. i have done this twice. hope this helps.
You need a new thermostat control for the oven fan. That is what determines when the temperature of the oven is low enough that the fan is no longer needed. Based on your description, the thermostat has failed in the "closed" position which means that it is always supplying power to the fan.
have the motor checked and replaced if no runnig the oven will not heat as it is a safty measure
on moter the fan blade could have been loose, the motor bearings could be worn out or the fan motor gone kaput
Hello,
Have you checked that the timer clock is set and not flashing, because the rest of the cooker will work after power outage but for the main/fan oven to work the clock needs resetting.
If the fan is working in the oven, and it is electrically heated, then it will be a faulty oven element.
This is located at the rear of the oven behind a removeable cover.
Sounds as if your oven heating element has failed. You need to fit a new one.
Usually you have to get the back off, disconnect the old element, remove the fixxing screws and element, fit new one, reconnect and it should be fixed. Don't forget to switch the power off before starting work.
You need to replace a faulty main oven element.
This is done by removing the rear cover in the main oven,
there you will see the element, disconnect and replace.
It is not a difficult job , and is not too expensive.
Plz frate my solution.
THANKS.
From symptons, I would say the fan oven element is faulty, more so if the fan is working. Remove inner rear panel of oven and see if element gets warm, let it run for a minute, switch off and feel if element is warm, if not, then replace.the element.
Plz rate this solution.
Thanks.
