Greetings, My nokia n95 when turned on vibrates and the backlight lights up but the screen is just blank (Black), I have hard reset it, I have taken out the data card and simcard and placed battery back in and attempted hard reset again to no avail,
All i can think is that the ribbon to the slider and the phone may have become ripped or something, ANyone else with this

Hello seems like your screen is broken. have you tried to plugin the video cable to the tv screen or something? if you get picture there it should be the screen that is broken.

If the hard format code mentioned aboive does not work, try the following manual method to hard reset/format Nokia N95:
+ Turn off the mobile device.
+ Press and Hold the following three buttons: the green Call Answer button, the "*" button, and the number "3? button.
+ While holding these buttons, turn on the phone and keep holding the
keys untill the mobile phone restarts and prompts you to enter details.

It must be a connection problem, to the LCD, or the light is not working.
Can only be sorted by looking at it really.
Back to Telstra I'm afraid. If it's new let them sort it out, if it's not try a reset take the sim card out first then input this code *#7780# (Best to use this code as a last resort) Give it time to work.
