You can bypass the tsta by simply jumping the two contact together. If the unit turns on cools makes ice properly, the tstat is bad.

Google Franklin chef FIM70 Ice maker- compactAppliance.com, click on page scroll down page until you see Download product owner's manual ( PDF ) this will give you step by step instructions on how to clean your machine, The machine should be cleaned every 6 months. If cleaning dose not help with the problem than you need to look into a harvest problem.

you may want to add shader valves using saddle type that just compresses on and check charge if low then find and repair leak and recharge but be careful these type ice machines are very touchy on charge so go slow

it can not be fixed but good news is it can be replaced

throw it away...i have the same problem. the company is out of business and no parts available.

what part are you wanting, water inlet is usually 3/8 npt, this unit can use 1/4 to 3/8 inch line
