Hi Dbillmanchin,

You can use the below link to download the driver for your camera, and it would be great if you can make sure to save the downloaded driver to a usb pen drive or to a cd/dvd so that you can use it later , as and when required.

You would required to enter a captcha code to proceed with the download.

Hope this helps, your feedback would be appreciated...:)

I have an HP Compaq tc4400 that I got from an old friend that had no use of it . but when I turn it on it says Non-system disk or disk error replace and strike any key when ready but I dont have a disk ....

It sounds like there's a problem with Windows (assume that's the operating system it used to have). I think you'll need to get a Windows install disk. Installing Windows is actually not that hard, and it sounds like you've got nothing to lose.

If you don't have access to a copy of Windows, why not try out Windows 8 - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-8/release-preview

I assume it'll only be free for a few more days as Windows 8 will be released in under a week now.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,
Derek.

Can a power interrupt during hard drive installation cause a "Boot manager missing" message?

You do not say what OS you were installing, and Windows limits what you can do with the hard drive during installation.
As you have found out, any power interruption during an installation will likely corrupt the process and make the system unbootable.

If you can restart the install at the very beginning that may work for you. However, I believe the simplest fix will be to use a live system bootable disk and erase the corrupted partition table on the drive then restart the install as if it were a brand new hard drive.

For that type of recovery I use gparted, which can be downloaded for free from http://gparted.org/livecd.php
Gparted live can be used on CD, hard disk, USB, or even pxe boot. I would delete all the existing partitions that were created during the failed install, then restart the install from the very beginning as if it were a new disk.

I have purchased a Kodak 72-IN-1 Card Reader Model A271. My CD drive does not work therefore i can not download the drivers from CD. Does anyone know where i can download the drivers for this product...

Run a lens cleaner on your CD drive or get a replacement CD (or Blu-Disk burner, or DVD burner) drive to put in there!

If it's on a CD it's not downloading (which is a network thing,) it's just transfer.
Kodak's really making it hard...but if you've been running updates on your OS you should have the driver automagically. What OS are you using? You know about NewEgg, right? Especially if your local vendor won't sell you inexpensive replacement readers and CD drives?

Try this. ...no wait, that's vintage 2000. This one's from 2004. Maybe they're unifying it with their other software bundles? (Here's the bundle with drivers page for Mac OS X.)
What? No! It's the first one I mentioned. That's an old reader and driver, no wonder there's nothing about it now; the standards change a little as capacities go up, and you'll probably want a new reader handy.

My external hard drive corrupted, asking to format.how can i recover

Try sending to data recovery experts. You'll be lucky if even they can recover the lost data; it is VERY difficult to recover corrupt data. Theres really nothing that you can do by yourself.

Disk drive failure on Acer Aspire 5715Z laptop, corrupted driver.

Assuming this is an original CD/DVD drive, go to your manufactures web site, choose their support option, at this point most sites ask for or allow you to enter your "service tag number" or "model number", these should be on the back or bottom of your computer. Once you've entered this information you should get to download drivers for your computer (assuming it's not to old). Download the original driver or recommended update for your CD/DVD drive and reinstall it. You will most likely have to unzip or unarchive the file before you can use it, make sure you write down the location where it's decompressed (unzipped/unarchived) to.
You might have to go into device manager and delete the drive in order to get windows to reinstall the driver. After you've deleted the drive reboot your computer, it should find new hardware and try to install the driver. At this point select "have disk" and enter the location of the downloaded driver. If window doesn't allow you to sellect where to load the driver from cancel the install and you'll have to use "Add Hardware" after the computer has fully rebooted, this is found in the "Control Panel". Using "Add Hardware" you will again have to choose "Have Disk" and tell windows where the new driver is. After Windows has reinstalled the driver your drive should be working.
After all this if your drive still isn't working you most likely either have some corrupt system files (Windows) or possibly some bad hardware. At this point if I was working on this machine I would try a different drive or if that failed I would consider reinstalling Windows. If all this failed I would check for hardware issues on the Motherboard.

Hard disc file corrupted-how do you repair?

you need a new hard drive. this will void your warranty but you can replace your original hard drive with another one of the same type (IDE / SATA) and all you should have to do is pop in the drive and it will ask to reformat the drive, say yes and let it go. then you can start playing your games again. if that dosn't work then your firmware is corrupt/damaged and you will need a new ps3. just take the hard disk out and use it in your computer or sell it on ebay. other than that, keep the busted ps3 for spare parts in case the 'new' one needs a new bluray drive in the somewhat near future.
