May be a broken belt or thermal fuse.
Some dryers have a switch that will prevent the dryer motor from running when the belt that turns the drum breaks. Others have a thermal fuse that does the same thing if the dryer should overheat due to a blockage in the venting. There are other causes for this issue, but these two are the most common.
