This is pretty much the same thing that I was told by a service shop. My primer bulb is built with a hole in the front center which I though was odd. the next season when I fueled it up the fuel poured out through the primer bulb hole. The guy told me that the bowl is similar to the drain in the toilet tank. If old fuel has dried up on the seal it allows the new fuel to flow through and run through the primer bulb. Of course, this is an indication that it was not properly drained at the end of the first season and naturally* voided the warranty (not a fan of TORO). He volounteered to flush the system for around 80 bucks. I found it ironic that my almost 400 dollar lawn mower lasted one season before needing an 80 dollar repair that is easily said to not be under warranty. In the meantime my now fifteen year old Murray with a B&S continues to run...sure it sometimes takes *more than one pull*, but the fuel doesn't run right through it...fuel I left in during winter with a stabilizer in...hmmmm (did I mention...not a fan of TORO)

I believe that Toro Guarantees to start 1 Pull, was gas left in it all winter?, If so this is'nt covered under warranty, cause gas is to be ran out or dumped out at end of season this will prevent any gumming up of carb . did you completely disassemble carb? does it have a primer on it, those gskts need replacing, clean out the jet in bottum of float bowl, small holes, sometimes missed and remove and check your needle/seat to make sure that when float drops gas runs out then lift float up and gas should stop. hope this helped you, another thing spray carb cleaner in carb and pull over and see if it will start that way enough to keep running with choke to see if it will **** gas into it

My Toro 20332 started to squeal at the end of last season when I engaged the self-propel. I replaced the drive belt last week, thinking it was loose and worn, now it really squeals. Any thoughts?

The belt is slipping and that causes the squeal. If it squeals with a new belt, it is indicative that something is not turning freely, causing the belt to slip.

Toro GTS 20332 lawnmower won't start. It's guaranteed to start. Bought it last November. Just put new gas in it, checked the oil, went to pull it and it didn't even sound like it was trying to start..

Hi, well, if it hasn't been started since November? then maybe, the spark plug has fouled, change, DO NOT clean and replace unless you have NO alternative. Also check, the spark plug lead. Replace if possible with a new one. Check all connections, to magneto/alternator, make sure you have voltage? Check the ignition circuit, the electronic ignition module too. Then Check to see if you indeed have a spark, hold the plug, against the case of the motor, and see if you can discern a spark, it should be big, and nice and blue.purple.
Also ensure gas is getting to the carburettor, take the fuel line Off at the carb, and see if gas is flowing?
I would imagine though you have sufficient gas.
If it uses a battery, then make sure this is OK too.
