Everything works but no heating?

Sounds like the magnetron tube went out. Probably not worth fixing.

SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOU BLEW A FUSE WHICH IS INSIDE THE UNIT. IF IT'S UNDER WARRANTY TAKE IT BACK BECAUSE IF YOU OPEN UP THE CASING & FIX YOURSELF THIS VOIDS ANY WARRANTY

It is probably the magnetron failing and killing the HV Diode assembly.

If everything is working normally, except for heating, the likely cause is the magnetron.  Microwaves can be dangerous to work on, as the site below points out.  If you have an ohmmeter, it is possible to check the magnetron, but be certain to follow the precautions outlined at the webpage:

We have the same exact microwave & this happened with ours just last night. I'm wondering the same if it is worth having it fixed.

When you say that the microwave won't turn on, can I assume that you mean that the food does not heat up! If that is the case, the problem lies with the magnetron circuit. This circuit consists of the transformer, rectifier and the magnetron, the part that generates the microwaves to heat the food. If it is the magenetron, then it probally not worth fixing since the cost to purchase the magnetron is almost as much as a new oven. To diagnose if it is the magnetron that has failed, when you turn on the oven, do you hear a louder that normal hum or buzzing sound? If that is the case, then it means that the magnetron is shorted and needs to be replaced.

I'm having the same problem with my microwave -- GE JVM1533WD 002.
The inside light, cooling fan and turntable are all working but it is no longer heating food when the Start button is hit.
The unit is noticeably louder than normal, too.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, this is common in most microwaves. this abnormal noise is coming from a faulty Magnetron. this device is responsible for the heating process and, it is damaged and not heating at all at this point.Simply replace the Magnetron and, this unit will start to heat once more.

Most microwaves have an internal fuse. There is a good chance it is blown. Check your manual see if this is easily replaced. The other issue is of course why it blew the fuse in the beginning.

If it is working but not heating, then test the high voltage capacitor,the rectifier diode.or the magnetron. If all this are fine, test the control board.If turntable is not running check also the door switch.

The diodeand capacitors can be tested. The capacitor must be allowed discharge before testing, or you risk to get electrocuted, evenif power is off.Capacitors can get discharged by shorting their two contacts.
Before replacing the magnetron test also the control board.
Replace the magnetron if the checks and all of the high voltage component tests are good, but the unit still does not heat.

Remember that microwaves are potentially dangerous devices if not repaired properly, the job must be done by a competent person.
A microwave energy leakage test must always be performed when the oven is serviced for any reason.
