Probably the data didn't go past 2010. I have a Northstar 951XD, and first time out this year, no more tide track data - my manual says it only went fron 1994 - 2010. So how to get updates?

Leak inside gps

Leak inside a gps is usually just a battery, sometimes they overcharge for to long and when happens the battery deforms and leaks. I have no idea where to send them to for repairs, bbut usually they are not that complicated to get into them and remove and replace the battery, they batteries in most gps units are the same size and usually the same shape as cellphone batteries, they just have different connections on the outside of them, but the insides are usually the same, also you might have one that you can run without the battery in it. I would suggest that you might want to open (if no warranty on it) up carefully, remove the battery and see if you can run it that way. Be advised though that if you do this, any power interruption to the unit while you are driving will cause it to shut down and you will have to start your trip entry all over again. Hope this helps.

My 6000i flashes No Engine Data

I researched my problem on the web, found several posts on various forums that helped. Bottom line, I determined that my 6000i installation did not include a gateway. I did that by eye balling the system after removing some panels.

Northstar 600i locks up and at times you can't switch screens, turn it off or even turn it on. You have to wait and come back later to turn it off or on???

If you can delate all you log, waypoint routs or make a masterreset.
With a masterreset you will lose all data below

Manually aiming my 78-8890 telescope

NorthStar® Telescopes offer amateur astronomers state-of-the-art computer-driven location and tracking capability with simple, push-button control. With a built-in data base of 20,000 celestial objects, you simply call up your target on the hand-held control module, enter a simple "Go To" command and the NorthStar computer does the rest. Once locked on, tracking the object for prolonged viewing is automatic.
the idea is not to touch the scope but use the hand controller. so the answer is no. not recommended.
