Hi, my bbm is not working. I am not getting messages and I can not open the actual application. Everything else to be working but the bbm application. I've tried to take out the battery out 4 times and it doesn't resolve the problem. I've contacted my network provider they told me to reinstall the application. Is this the appropriate solution? or is there something else that can be done. Please help. Roberto

Go into the Google play store and type in BBM, then search. The first option that pops up is the BBM messenger application developed by Blackberry Limited. Install and you are ready to go.

I rang up today and I fixed my problem, I was told to switch off my phone then take out my battery and sim card. When my phone was back on my bbm was working. I hope this works, as I was dissapointed that mine would not work either. Goodluck !! :)

Hi there, It sounds like you're having problems with your data access. I would do a few things: 1) Send an e-mail - if you cannot do this, then you have no data access at all. If that's the case, call your carrier and tell them about your problem. It's not a problem with your device, but with your service provider. 2) If you CAN send e-mails, sometimes BBM just gets stuck. If you've already been waiting for longer than 10 minutes, you need to call your carrier. Tell them you need your service books resent. That will often fix your problem. Good luck! Alex

This is usually happened when you install high ram memory application such as BBM 5.
The solution for this problem is by uninstalling your BBM 5. Maybe your BBM 5 has a bug in Java Application. That’s why when you check using diagnostic test in option menu find this warning: UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION: JAVA.LANG.ARRAY INDEX OUT OF BOUNDS EXCEPTION.
After uninstalling BBM 5 you can check now is there any problem again. If yes, the last choice is by reinstalling your Blackberry OS.

try a battery pull while the phone is on if that doesnt work try removing bbm from your phone and reinstalling it. Use desktop manager for this under the application loader tab add/remove programs. BBm has been buggy lately

you might be out of memory, try resetting your handset.

If you highlight (one click) one of the Quark, JPEG or Word files, when you are on the desktop and then go to File - Get Info a window should open for the file you selected.

In the Info window about halfway down there should be the text "Opens with", in here you can select the application to open your document (most applications should be found in the Applications folder)

Also if you press the Change All button this will set the files to open up in the selected application the next time you click on one.
