I have casio CTK 5000. i want to download additional tones and rhythms on it . kindly suggest the site as well as the file formats it will recognize for this model. also kindly describe the total procedure from downloading to playing

Most Casio keyboard manuals are available from their support page: http://support.casio.com/en/manual/manual.php?cid=008&MODULE= . Here you will need to accept the Casio terms of use. You need to load the driver first and only plug in the USB cable when the software tells you to do so.

If your computer has a SD card reader, you can use a 2GB or smaller SD card. Format the SD card using the CTK4000. Drop tje music into "MUSICDAT" folder.
If you connect to PC using a USB cable, you need to download DATA MANAGER from Casio website. DATA MANAGER allows you to copy files from computer to keyboard.

You can play back standard MIDI files from the SD card slot, or load them into memory via USB. However, it is not possible to add new tones or rhythms.

Most of these keyboards have such a function... the manual doesn't show any... however one could select drum set 5 and use the claves setting for a rhythm and control the rate with the tempo. This might be too complicated and it might be simpler to get a small metronome... some are very inexpensive.

Make sure the driver is compatible with your operating system... often stuff will not work with Vista for example. Often SOME software REQUIRES it to be installed before USB cable is connected, and yet other requires it not be connected till software is installed... read the manual...

Press "tone" while u see - "S1:Loop1"
