SOURCE: Paslode framing nailer loss of power.
Here's what I found at the Paslode Troubleshooting Site:
Tool will not cycle - fan runs, indicator light
is solid green.
Lockout bracket is stuck in lockout position.
Work-contacting element is bent, or build-up of
debris in track restricts operation.
Follower is not behind fasteners.
Fuel Cell empty.
Spark wire out of spark plug.
Spark plug is dirty.
No spark is generated.
Check lockout.
Remove and inspect lower probe. Clean and
lubricate track with Paslode Impulse® oil.
Repair or replace lower probe as required.
Position follower behind fasteners.
Replace fuel cell.
Remove cap and check spark lead, insert in
spark plug and replace cover.
Clean tool cylinder head and spark plug.
If this doesn't work, I suggest contacting Paslode directly 800-222-6990

Hi,
Yes you need to oil driver blade piston.
You need to check for spark. With no nail or gas in it. Take of main cylinder(4bolts on top, 2 bolts on nose. And then put in battery. And then push upper switch(behind roller at top) and the fan will come on. And then pull the trigger. You should have spark.
Thanks,
Jeff

have you activated the fuel cell by pressing the black nozzle down onto the cylinder?

Any time these guns become intermittent or stop firing but the fan still runs, the first the to check is the expiration date on the gas cartridges. The do expire and this will make the gun work inconsistently or not at all.
Testimonial: "Thanks for that, i will look into it! Thanks for your time.... Cheers, Steven. ;-)"

My paselode was doing the same thing, and I followed all of the cleaning instructions, but the problem continued.
If it was left alone for a minute, it would fire again, so I removed the cover over the trigger assy, and checked the spark plug wire connection. The trigger came out, and during reassembly, I noticed that the electrical switch was hanging, and slowly pushing back out.
I cleaned and lightly spray/oiled the switch pin, and voila.........works like a charm.
Hi,
Here is a tip that I wrote
about the Paslode nailers and the problems that can come up
with them.
I also have a link to the Paslode manuals
which contain Paslode cleaning and troubleshooting guides.
If
you need parts for your Paslode, there also is a link for a
site that sells the Paslode nailer parts.
