25:1 may be too rich a mixture. Clean your spark plug well. Then get some good synthetic 2 stroke oil and try a 32:1 mix or a 40:1 mixture. Here is a fuel mix chart for you use.

Testimonial: "thaks it helped me very much and it stopped me from buying another blower"
I am really glad to hear that! Echos are very durable and if they are taken care of they last a real, real, long time. So that 25:1 was about twice as rich as you needed. I am a little surprised about the 50:1 but in the past 5 years or so; everything is...but all said....40:1 won't hurt a thing. I am pleased I could help. Continued luck to you with older equipment (we all need that!)

The only things I know that cause low compression is poor piston rings or a worn out or scored cylinder
If you were using it and it was running then quit the problem would not mixture screws. How old is the fuel? If it is older than 2 months dump it and try fresh fuel.
A 50:1 ratio with 89 Octane fuel can be used in all ECHO 2-stroke equipment, provided the oil is ISO-L-EGD and JASO M345 FC/FD certified. ISO-L-EGD and JASO M345 FC/FD oil must be used with a mid-grade (89 octane) or premium gasoline in all 1997 and newer engines.
A 50:1 Ratio = 1 US Gal. 89 Octane + 2.6 fl. oz. ECHO POWER BLEND OIL
Echo Power Blend Universal
2-Stroke Oil can be used in all of our 2-cycle air-cooled equipment ever
made. You may also use this oil in any other brand of 2-cycle air
cooled equipment, but it should always be mixed at the 50:1 ratio
whether or not it was a 32:1 or 16:1 etc. machine. This oil is the
highest quality 2-cycle oil on the market today. There is no need to
have more than 1 tank of fuel for your 2-cycle equipment any more.

I don't know how old your "old" machine is, but over the years, less and less oil is to be used in the 2-stroke fuel mix. This is a result of EPA emissions standards. I have a circa 70's weedtrimmer that is an Echo with a Kioritz engine and the mixture in the book says 16:1 or 32:1, one of those. If they tuned and adjusted your machine, why would they give it back to you if it is still running poorly. Wasn't that why you had it worked on in the first place? Try fresh fuel mix and maybe go with a 32:1 mix. I have even used a 40:1 mix with synthetic in my ancient Echo and it ran fine. Maybe 25:1 is too rich. Clean the plug well, use 32:1 or 40:1 and I recommend synthetic oil ALWAYS be used. Many advantages there.
i found a copy of the manual online. it read to mix the fuel 50:1
