Whirlpool error F18 Error code F18 indicates there's too much foam in the drum. Thankfully, this problem is easy to solve. Unload the drum and run a wash cycle without soap. This removes excess foam.

The speed senser may be out.

Sump hose has fallen off Unplug tilt machine back have a look underside to check also could be the soap dispenser hose Hole in it.This rubs away on side of machine 5yrs old.

I had the F18 fault.Nothing much worked except drain pump.
Simple solution for me was:
1)disconnect power 2)take off top of machine(2screws at rear) 3)locate the connector which fits on the rear of the main led display panel.4) Pull it off, squirt switch cleaner and replace with plenty of wiggling! 5) Put it back together and start washing !

F18 (usually!) means there's some issue with drainage. If the washer doesn't drain properly within a specific amount of time, you'll get the F18 error. A common fix is to remove the panel covering your drain and examine it for any sort of debris that may be obstructing it - plastic, lint, loose change, etc.

F18 means the filter is blocked. Look around for a propeller shaped part - it should be able to spin freely. If not, remove the debris so that it is unblocked. Good luck!

hi, i turned on my wd865 machine and it starts fine and sounds the same but its displayinf f 18. but it doesnt continue the wash in the usual way . what does f18 mean ? please help :)
