nope, the imi can be changed in the phone so its not of any use other than activating the phone, track my iphone through apple might if you had that service on, other than that tracking phones like that is of little use as it hardly ever works

Did you have Find My iPhone installed? If so, then you can track it that way and even wipe it clean remotely if you want to.

Hi,it would have been easier to track your device if it was an iphone,because the iphone has an IMEI number which can be used,however,the best solution you can get is to visit the nearest apple shop in your area to help you with the tracking of the itouch which is also trackable.

YOU NEED TO RETURN THIS PHONE TO ITS OWNER. YOU CAN TURN IT IN AT ANY APPLE STORE. PEOPLE HAVE HAD THEIR PHONES TRACKED SO YOU BETTER DO THE RIGHT THING.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your phone and sorry to say but you can't track it using the serial or IMEI number, what i would like to suggest is to call your service provider have the line on temporary suspension so that nobody can use your phone and check for insurance and warranty. some providers offer insurance and warranty that covers lost and stolen phone.
