I've used my sony walkman nwz-s545 a million times and it syncs really fast with my computer but last night i went to upload a few songs and it froze and said to disconnect and try again, after i unplugged it i waited 10 minutes for it to unfreeze then i tried again. i did this about 5 times and it still wont work. i still have about 7 gbs left its a 16gb what do i do? i would format it but i have over a thousand songs that aren't on my laptop

I'm just wondering, why don't you just download the MP3Gain. You can adjust the volume of all the songs to one db of your choosing. It's easier than trying to set up your mp3 player using the test mode, the result of which is usually the radio malfunction.
You have to use Windows to delete songs off of the player. If using content transfer you just select the music folder and check the boxes of everything you don't want and then press delete. If using Windows Media Player 11, go to the sync tab and select your walkman. Delete anything you don't want.
Another option is to format the entire thing but that will erase everything that is on there.
