Make sure the connection from the pc to the projector is secure, also make sure the display settings on the computer are set to extend the desktop onto the projector, and that the projector is set to pc mode.

It is more likely to be a problem with the laptop. If the projector comes on fine then it isn't seeing the signal. Maybe check the cables and outputs. It may be a setting in the diplay properties. Or the video card has failed. Good luck
if you don't hear a high-pitched whir, the colorwheel needs replacing. if you do hear it, the lamp may need replacing. if the lamp is new, there is a power supply problem.
with the function button on the laptop and the lcd button, F5 for toshiba, the screen will display both sides. if not then give the details of ur laptop.

It might be a digital or optical problem. This symptom was often part of the CRT type projector setup but i have not seen in the digital single lens type.
Is the lamp sitting 100% proper. Have you displayed the content machine and source on another display device? Was the machine dropped or knocked? It is an unusual symptom to have just be replacing the lamp..so something else has occurred.
If a digital problem in could either be a circuit malfunction or software (IC rom issue)

i suggest you do not have the projector too far away... 7ft away distance would be a Good resolution will also dimm don the square's image in the picture
Do you have fans running ?
Would you consider an overheat situation or a resettable fuselink blowing-cooling resetting etc.
