Having lost everything on my computer, I purchased Toshibo laptop, installed with Windows 7 family edition . My Hp desktop printer, and everything else worked with windows XP. I am unable to install a flash. I want to install windows XP so I can play my word games, etc. Where can I purchase an installation CD to install Windows XP, either new or second hand. Please advise. You can download and install by yourself. I recommend you to use driver management program to download and install drivers for HP computer.

There are no official drivers Win 7 avaliable for your AIO hp DJ 3420, but you can use an alternate compatible drivers for your model ie. hp DJ 3600 series. I would suggest the following: Go to the Devices and Printers folder, Add a printer, Local Printer, LPt1, etc...when the list of printers comes up select Windows Update. After several minutes the list of printers should be updated and the Deskjet 3600 should be in the updated list. (Also keep in mind to look under 'HP' section of the driver (hp 3600) list and not 'Hewlett Packard'). Cancel the install the wizard & select "hp 3600" drivers to install on your Win 7 system. Hope it helps.

Yes you should be able to install Windows XP on this computer system. However Windows XP Professional 64bit edition will be better as you will be running 4GB of RAM. If you use 32bit version it can only make use of 3.85GB of the 4GB installed.

Graphics Unable to use the native resolution, such as 1920x1080, 1680x1050 and 1440x900 Symptom(s):
On some displays, users may be unable to use the native resolution when using Intel® chipset graphics. Resolutions such as 1920x1080, 1680x1050, and 1440x900 are not available in graphics properties.

Cause:
The display's EDID is not read properly when connected to some digital flat panel displays. Display devices describe its capabilities by sending EDID (Extended Display Information Data) to the computer.

Apart from the obvious cosmetic changes and some extra added functionality, Windows XP Media Center Edition may be treated as basic Windows XP in many instances.
