When you turn of the TV the POWER indicator flashes green for several minutes. The TV never comes on. After the several minutes of the POWER indicator flashing green, it stops, I hear a click and the light goes out. Within a few seconds, the LAMP indicator light starts flashing red continuously. I unplugged the TV and waited one hour to remove the lamp. I could not tell if the lamp was blown. I can see the filament, the glass is clear, but there is a 2 cm or less spot in the right upper corner of the bulb that looks a purple/yellow color. The lamp was replace about 4 months ago. Is the lamp blown? What does the continuous flashing red light on the LAMP indicator mean? Why does the POWER light flash green for several minutes and the stop?

Sounds like the lamp door is not secured in place. Try removing the lamp door and put in back in until it clicks.

A continuous flashing red light with the word LAMP on it would definitely mean you're going to need to spend a few bucks on a new lamp....or for a few more, upgrade to a TV from this century that doesn't require lamp changes :)

Unplug if you have not done so BOTH units from power for several minutes (any cable or satellite box also connected.

wait several minutes and restore power to all units which may allow them to reboot.

Flashing green light

Did you try this yet

SYSTEM RESET
If the TV will not respond to either the remote control
or the front panel controls and/or will not power Off,
press the SYSTEM RESET button with a pointed item
like the end point of a paperclip. The TV will turn Off
and the TIMER light will flash quickly for about one
minute. When the TIMER light stops flashing, you may
turn on the TV again. Changes you made the last time
the TV was On before you used the SYSTEM RESET
button may be lost, however, the changes you made
previously are not lost.
POWER/TIMER Indicator
The green light is a multi-function indicator. This light
will flash rapidly for about one minute each time the TV
is plugged into the wall electrical outlet, when power
is restored after a power failure, or using the SYSTEM
RESET button. Do not attempt to turn on the TV again
during this period. Wait for the flashing to stop and
the light to turn off, before attempting to turn the TV
on. While the TV is powered on, the light illuminates
steadily. If the TV has been programmed to turn on
automatically using the Timer feature,

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
