When you turn it on with the memory card plugged in it wants to format the card. when you click OK it says Please Wait and that stays on forever. You have to open the battery compartment to turn off the camera.

Try a different memory card.

You plug it in a card reader, you plug the reader in an USB socket if it's a removable type and wait for it to be detected - an Safely remove icon will appear in the notification area, you open Computer and right click on the card - it will be listed as an Removable Media, you select format and select FAT32 and click Start.
Click the Safely remove icon when the format process has ended and take it out.
If the format process fails the memory chip inside the card has died and the card is dead, junk it and get a new one.

this the great solution... try low level format..

1. plug ur usb flash
2. run Formatter v2.9.0.9.exe
3. follow the instruction and wait for the format (might take 5min for 4GB)
4. after complete, may the small volume (about 2MB...here the solution
5. plug your usb flash on other computer and format like regular (make sure u untick quick format) and click on "restore device defaults" then click format
6. now your usb flash drive was like a new one

Hi, have you tried using your computer to format the memory card, what you need to do is put your memory card into a memory card reader then wait a minute then open up my computer then locate the memory card then right click on it with the right button on the mouse then choose format and format it to fat32 then try it in your camera and it should then be working.

if you have been using a memory card in the camera and still have it then put this in the memory card reader and go to my computer and then right click on the memory card and select properties and have a look at what format that memory card is, and if its anything other than fat32 write down what it is.
Then put the new memory card into your card reader and goto my computer then right click with the mouse then choose format and then choose to format it to the same type as the other memory card thay you know works in the camera, once you have done this the memory card should work in the camera with no problems.

until you have formatted the memory card to the correct type it wont be recognised by your camera so give it a try what i said and you should find you will have no more problems ok.

You will need a card reader (unless your PC has an SD/MCC slot): 1- Insert the SD into slot or into the card reader and then insert the card reader into a USB port. (please wait for few seconds) 2- Click on Start - RIGHT click on MY COMPUTER -Choose Manage 3- Look at the left information pane and click on STORAGE 4- You should see all your drives on there to include the SD drive 5- Right click on SD drive (it should show you the path ie E:\, D:\ etc and the size 1-2-4-32 GB etc...) 6- Choose FORMAT (There will be a drop down menu, please choose NTFS) and wait for it to do it's thing (this is irreversible) Wait till you see the words HEALTHY PARTITION (followed by the drive name) You are done! I was having the same problem and contacted Casio. The issue seems to be that there are pictures/video on your internal camera memory which is conflicting with the memory card. Here is the fix:
Turn of the camera and take out your memory card Turn on the camera, click menu, setup, hit the up circle twice and click reset and click reset again until the camera resets
Then click menu again, setup, hit the up circle twice and click format, click format again until the camera formats
(This will delete the pictures from your memory card so make sure you have them saved) Turn off the camera and put your memory card back in, turn the camera on again. Repeat the format process for your memory card and you will be good to go!

If you want reformat your phone so follow the step- first you can remove the memory card then connect the mobile with computer by data cable . then show a removable drive ( f: ) on the desktop in my computer icon . then right click the this drive and click format option . then display formating ok .

if you want memory card format then you can insert the card a card reader then connect with pc then right click the new drive and choose format option and click .then memory card formating ok.
