Hello , i bought a used nintendo Wii system but i cant unlock the parental control, how can i do to change the password or parental control to be able to connect to enternet?

you are kind of in a pickle because you have to have someone elses password that had the system before you. so unless you can find that person i don't think you will be able to have your important stuff

1. Navigate to the Wii Menu by pressing the HOME button on a Wii Remote and selecting "Wii Menu."
2. Look at the date and time displayed on the Wii Menu and ensure they are correct. If incorrect, they will need to be changed in order for you to complete the PIN reset process. You will not be able to reset the PIN until the date is correct.
3. Select the Wii Options icon in the lower-left corner of the Wii Channel Menu.
4. Select "Wii Settings."
5. Click on the blue arrow to reach the Wii System Settings 2 menu options.
6. Select "Parental Controls," then "Yes."
7. Enter your PIN or select "I forgot."
8. Answer your secret question or tap "I forgot."
   • If you know the answer to your secret question, enter it to unlock parental controls. The system will go to the change parental controls screen and you will be able to change your PIN.
     • Be sure to enter the secret question exactly as you originally typed it, as the answer is case sensitive.
   • If you don't know the answer to your secret question, tap "I forgot."
9. A screen will appear showing you a request code.
10. With that request code, you will need to do a request that involves charging US$0.50 from a credit card, to confirm that you're an adult. Or should your kids try to circumvent your parental code, it will show up on your credit card bill.

You can do this without calling Nintendo by following my instructions.

1. At the Wii title screen click on "wii" (wii options) at the bottom left hand corner
2. Click on "wii settings"
3. Click on the "arrow" pointing to the right to go to the next screen.
4. Click on "Parental Controls" where it will say "change Parental Controls?", click "yes"
5. Then click on "I forgot", and when asked your secret question click on "I forgot" again.
6. Your "confirmation number" (8 digits long) will be at the bottom.
7. Go to this website http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp and enter your confirmation number.
NOTE: very important. You must have your wii set to the correct time and date.
8. After you enter your confirmation number and hit "get reset code" it will be near the top of the page "Your unlock code"
its 5 digits long.
9. Click on "ok" on your wii parental controls page that has your confirmation number.
10.Enter the master key (the same number that you got from this website, the 5 digits).

Go to parental controls on the wii setting. When it asks for your pin press "I forgot" and then it will ask you you question also press "I forgot". Then a screen will come up telling you your confirmation number. Write down the Confirmation number!!!)

contact the nintendo wii usung phone number on your booklet they will give you a code to put in it will disengage parental controls this works I had to do it when i bought a second wii system

Go into the settings menu, Parental controls, reset parental controls. Click through the confirmation screens, and then it will give you a confirmation code and ask you to call Nintendo.

Instead of calling Nintendo, go to http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.wsgi and enter the code. Even though it was originally written for the Wii, marcan's reset code generator will give you a valid code that you can enter into your DSi to remove the parental control.

Step One- Contact Nintendo
Step Two- Let the know that you dont have the current password.
Step Three- They will call you back within 15 minutes or longer.
Step Four- They will give you a new password.

In your console enter to the parental control menu and try to change it, when asking for password then:

1. Click "I forgot" twice.

2. Go to http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp

3. Copy the inquiry code where it says "Confirmation Number:".

4. Select your "Current Date in your timezone:"

5. Push the "Get Reset Code" button and get your master code.

6. Try to change again the parental control and use the code provided, the code should work as I tested it many times.

NOTE1: the code generated in this page work as well for Wii and DSi consoles.

NOTE2: If it doesn't work the first time, try going to http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ . Change the time/date on your DSI to match that of Tokyo, London, some other location etc and then try again.

In the case of parental controls, you will need to go into the wii settings to unlock them totally. Head on over to http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp and enter in the confirmation number you will get once you have specified that you forgot the pin, and the answer to secret question

(Do make sure your wii is set to whatever today's date is, as the master password completely depends on it.)

Go to http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp and enter your 8 digit confirmation number there. When you do so, make sure that whatever today's date is, your Wii is set to that date. (And select Today's date from one of the 3 possible choices.)

(To get the confirmation number, go into Parental control settings, click I forgot on enter pin screen, and Click I forgot on answer secret question screen. This is where you come to where you enter the master password, and the confirmation number you need, to get this master password.)
