Dont remember the code for the remote to my television

i remember this kind is problem is found in BPL televisions. either you get a remote of same code (code is written on remote face) with PSM key. by that key you can put off the psm display. or you can open remote carefully because remote has one or two screws and locks on the sides. then you will find a empty button below key pad which is not used by any key. (no key is touching that button.) you place any key on it while cells are in & press that key & see the PSM is off.

Hello, a Universal remote should have the codes already set for the Toshiba so it shouldnt be too hard, just follow the instructions. Just remember that some of the cheaper remotes dont have all the codes.so make sure you get a good quality one,she deserves it!

I can only assume that you are not the kids trying to get into the set.
You must have the original Mitsubishi remote control to perform this operation on the set. Look on the remote for a button that is labeled QV (Quick View), if you have this button on the remote then we can press on. Go to the selected channel or input that is asking for the unlock code. When it asks for the code, press the QV button: Holding it down press the number 9 and release. This will unlock the set for this instance. To remove the code I suggest that you go through the setup menu and find the code lock and when it asks for the code use the QV+9 trick again to turn it off from the main menu.

If you do not have the original Mitsubishi remote you will not be able to try this trick. You will have to order a replacement remote from 1-800-REMOTES or www.remotes.com.
Once you have the replacement remote you can unlock the television and be back on your way.

Try the volume if this works then press the SELECT button. If this does not work the volume then press TV again and then try the volume again. Repeat this step until the volume works then remember to press the SELECT button to save the code.

If for any reason this does not work remove the battery cover from the remote. You should see on there ''REV 4,6,8 you may have an older remote in which case you will need to get a different REV remote.

Brand codes for universal remotes are determined by the remote control manufacturer, so there's not really "a code for JVC" that anyone could tell you. You could try looking on the remote manufacturer's website to see if they have the information available. Or you could simply purchase another remote, and you'd have a fresh set of instructions.

Dont worry about programming a universal remote for use with only one device like a Tv because after you program it. only a few functions like the basic functions of the remote will work. for example the "Power", channels keys, and volumn. you will not be able to make that remote work for any other features, like PIP, menu, aspect, input, etc. I suggest getting the original remote control. ReplacementRemotes.com usually has a suitible replacement or the original manufactures remote that comes with your TV.
