"machine gun clicking" sound - fuser drive/motor gear area

Sharp AR-M205 is refusing to copy - machine gun clicking noise
at lower right corner near where fuser drive gear and motor gear
train are. Fuser was replaced with new fuser and noise still
persists. Service tech removed and replaced gear train with a
new one. Now we have a click-click noise. Any ideas on
a solution since both fuser and gear train and now new.

Thanks

Colin

Sometimes the clicking noise can come for the developer cartridge or the drum. you can carefully take them out and see if they turn freely.

What do i do if i make photo copy and the gears sounds

The fuser gears brake alot on these because of the heat. Open the flip down cover on the fuser when it is cooled off and try rotating the roller by hand look into the right side to see that the gear is rotating with the roler if not your sharp dealers should be able to get you the part for around $22 and they could put it in for an hour of labor.

Sharp AR- m205 error code h2

Hi

Should probably read H2-00, which is your thermistor in the fuser. Open door on right, three screws hold the fuser in (hot bit), release fuser slightly, being careful as it is still connected, the thermistor is sat in the top, you should be able to reset it by pressing the little button and you should here it click. re-fit fuser and secure.

To reset the code, press these buttons:
Hash, interrupt, clear, interrupt., enter 14, then the print button.
Cheers

Power went out now my Sharp AR-M205 is coming up with code H2 how can i fixit

This code relates to temperature problem in the heating area or fuser unit . During copier warm up, a certain temperature must be sensed for it to work and it is not sensing that thus the code H2. Sort it out by keying the following codes in this sequence; Press #-*-C-* and display will go blank, enter key 14 on the panel display and press copy key. It will restart itself in a normal way. Good luck and happy new year.

Hi, My machine is sayin error H4, how can i Fix it. its a sharp ar-m205.

H4 code means your fuser did not come up to the preset temp in the predetermined time-frame. Try resetting the copier by pushing the # key, the * key, the C Key, then the * key, in rapid succession which will bring you into simulation mode. once there type 14 with your number pad, and press the start key. It may ask you to verify, select yes. once it is finished, push the CA (clear all) key and the machine will reboot.

If this doesn't correct the issue, call a service technician in your area to come and look at your fuser. a bulb may be burnt out, or the thermistor may be broken,

Hope this helps!

My Sharp AR-M205 Copier has developed a problem. The code L6 is flashing up on the Display panel. Someone suggested I might be able to fix it by 'resetting' the machine. Can anyone advise how precisely to...

L6 is polygon motor lock (in the laser unit). To try and reset on the keypad press P * C * (pound star clear star) and enter sim 14 and press copy button. the machine should restart if down right. If the code comes back the LSU unit will need to be replaced. Should be done by a trained tech.

Copy commences and then jam on the right side of machine after the paper receives the toner and prior to hot area. Does not appear to go though this second set of rollers.

This means there is a problem in the fuser unit area.
Remedy
Check the fuser unit gear if its broken. Replace if out.
Check if the separator pawls are out of position. Adjust to its position.
Check if the fuser separator spring is out. Return it to its place.

Switch the way the paper comes out of the machine

Sounds like your tray settings are incorrect. Make sure that if the tray is set to 8 1/2 X 11 in the menu settings(not 8 1/2 X 11R) that the paper is set in the tray to feed the long edge first. The machine is capable of automatically rotating the image to fit the paper as long as the paper is set correctly.
If you prefer to feed short edge first then set it for 8 1/2 X 11R.
