My symphonic dvd recorder will not record from vhs to dvd. It stated to us dvd-r disks. I even used the maxell brand that they requested. It still would not record. Do you have any suggestions
I have the same Symphonc DVD- VCR Combo wfr205. I can't get it to work either. I called Syphonic support 2 years ago about it, they told me to clean it. I did. It will recognize DVD's sparodicly, but will not finalize them so that I can play them on anything else. I tried 3 different brands of DVD-R all with the same results. I called Symphonic a 2nd time. They do not offer replacement and have never acknowledged the recoder has a problem. I finally bought a Sony DVD recorder. I can use it along with the VCR portion of the Symphonic. The Symphonic was a waste of cash.

I have had the same problem. The DVD play and record functions have NEVER worked. And Symphonic has offered NO support but to pay MORE money for a product that has never worked. I agree-an absolute WASTE of cash. Never again.
when i put a blank disc in it want read it or record i'm having trouble when i put a disc in to play i have clean it and still have problems.i need help tell me what to do
Please, Please help. I have a similar problem with my symphonic WFR205. I have recorded the first year of my oldest child's life on a disk. Then my DVD player/recorder broke and I was unable to finalize my recorded disk. So now the images of my child's youth are stuck on a disk that cannot be played on any other DVD player. Symphonic support was useless. They have quit making the DVD recorder and I can't find a used one anywhere. I would be willing to mail my home DVD's out if someone would finalize them for me.
