Where is the model serial number on the Canon MX882

Issue: Where is the serial number located?
Solution: Locate the serial number MX882

Locate the Serial Number The serial number of the MX882 is located inside the printer, as shown below.

1. With the printer powered on, open the Paper Output Tray (A).
   
   
   
   The above illustration shows a PIXMA MX870.
   
   
2. Lift the Scanning Unit (Cover) (B) and fix it with the Scanning Unit Support (C).
   
   
   
   
3. Wait until the print head carriage moves to the ink tank replacement position.
   
   
4. To the right of the print head carriage, inside the printer, is a white sticker that is attached to a metal plate. The serial number is located on the white sticker. Please see the illustration below.
   The serial number starts with four letters and ends with five numbers, for example: ABCD01234.
   

Canon have the habit of putting the serial number label inside the printer. Open the printer cover and look inside the printer.
