My Frigidare front load clothes washer will not spin dry the load effectively. At the end of a normal wash cycle, the clothes are dripping wet. This was not the case when the washer was new. Please help.

A number of things could be wrong but the first thing to check if it pumps out all the water before it starts spinning. If possible, lay the drain hose down, wait until no more water comes out, then put it in spin. If it spins full speed then check if something is inside the pump.

Testimonial: "Thanks for the advice. I plan on ordering a service manual for the unit. At least it might help me get to the pump, especially if it has photographs"

Clothes too damp after spin cycle

Front loading washers are notorious for not spinning the water out of a small load of clothes. This is because there is not enough clothes in the washer to balance the tub during the spin cycle.

Try washing a slightly larger load with a minimum of six items or more. This is one of the downsides to front load models and no specific brand is immune to the problem.

My Frigidare Affinity front load washer doesn't pump water on the Normal cycle.

Check the water inlet electro valve at the rear of the washer and make sure it is working.

My wash machine wash the clothes but not doing the final spin, all the clothes all soak and wet

Handyman here -

Its possible that the door is not locking properly. If the door doesn't lock the machine will wash, but not spin the clothes dry. If you wait 15mins or so after machine is done, then set cycle to spin, it will pump any water that has dripped off your clothes out, but again it will not spin. Helps a little.

Good Luck!

Washer/Dryer not drying

is your dryer a conderser type
does it have a tank that you have to empty at the end of cycles
if it does the filter that condensers the water from drying cycle
if that is blocked it will not work
