SOURCE: Panasonic PT-47wx53, No power, 3 Blinks

Panasonic PT53WX42F with same problem. 3 blinks after power on for a few seconds, no picture or sound. Solution: replaced two convergence ICs (STK392-XXX) located on the large green printed circuit board. ICs are very large and screwed into two large heat sinks and soldered to board. Cost is approximately $6 each. Easy to replace if careful. May be able to access solder joints on bottom of board by removing screen on bottom of cabinet or simply remove 4 screws that anchor plastic holder to cabinet and tilt up. I did not disconnect any inter-board connections. Remove heat sink screws. Desolder using suction bulb or solder sucker. Works great. Finish off with solderwick braid if necessary to clear holes. 40 watt iron is enough do not apply too much heat to damage board lands. Remove IC. Clean heat sink by scraping away white heat sync compound. Apply generous amount of heat sync compound to new IC and coat evenly. Align and insert new IC holes, resolder with thin resin core solder being careful not bridge lands. Refasten to heat sink. Clean board and inspect for good joints and no bridging. Refasten plastic board holder. Carefully clean projection lenses while back is off tv. Power up and it should be fixed. Parts are obtainable on-line. Solder tools and board cleaner are available at Radio Shack or on-line also. I spent $20 on parts and supplies. This is not hard just a bit tedious. You can do it.

I also followed Tim Smith's instructions and my TV is now working. The only thing is that as an engineer I realized that the Panasonic TV has a poor way to dissipate the heat which is probably what caused the problem to begin with so I went to Fry's electronics and bought 3 computer cooling fans and adapted them on the back of the TV grid. They are very quiet and they have their own power supply so they do not interfere with the TV operation. In addition next to the same parts that Smith mentioned above I found some resistor that changed from light blue to brownish color this is a sign of overheating. I ordered the resitor directly from Panasonic and replaced them also. So look for some bad resistors.
By the way the service manual cost me $10 and I highly recommend you to get it if you are going to fix it yourself.

Thanks Smith !

SOURCE: Panasonic TH50PH10 Turn off Automatically

Hi, if your plasma flashes 10 times it means that there is a problem with the sustain driver. This could be an intermittent problem, such as when the set heats up. It should be returned to the dealer as it is under warranty.

SOURCE: TH-42PX80U JUST TURNED ITSELF OFF

The 7 blinks indicates that a failure has happened within the Y main and the upper and lower y drive panels. I recommend you taking it in to a Service center for and evaluation.

SOURCE: tv keeps switching itself off

When that happens - try unplugging the tv for a few minuets & plug it back in.. Sometimes it will reset its self.. Or it could be a bad sercut or maybe a falty power suply.. Electronics is usually process of illimination - unfortunately..

What is the life span for the Sony Wega KV-32HS510?

10,000 continous woking hours is calculated to most of the CRT based TVs.
It is only calculation, but the life span might be much more that that. I've repaired a Sony TV recently, which was released by Sony Corporation Japan. The model is KV1820, an 18" Trinitron TV, still works perfectly. Just see, it is an '80 model one.

Well in the system Bios or setup there are options where you can have the computer turn itself on automatically at a certain time. However, the fact that yours is turning itself on and off seems to indicate that it is either over heating or it is running into an issue when trying to boot and it keeps recycling the boot process. There is an option that you can set that will turn off automatic restart on boot. Turn off the computer and then turn it on and start hitting F8 repeatedly until you see Safe Mode as an option. Scroll down through the options and you will probably see an option that lets you stop automatic restart on boot, and take it if it is there. This will allow you to actually see the error message that is causing your computer to reboot itself.

My garmin was automaticly flashing differnt modes continously. Now it won,t turn on at all.

whoa, mine just starting doing that too. Today on a run it just started flashing through the 3 screens and I couldn't turn it off. It kept logging the run so I kept going. Then it would stop flashing sometimes during the run and I'd press the up or down arrow and it'd start flashing again. Now it's in the cradle and I can't sync it up but the battery is charging. Any ideas how to fix this?

Ac unit keeps reading fl or full. every 2-3 hours. auto clean button drains out about 1/4 a gallon of water and then stops draining. turn back on ac & repeat process every 2-3 hours. I have tried...

After reading over the Owner's Manual for your unit, I wonder if you are operating it in the Cool & Dry Mode. If that's the case, the dehumidifier is in operation, which would account for having to drain the unit every 2 to 3 hours. Ideally, the Cool and Dry Mode should only be operated for about an hour, when the unit is first started . Removing the humidity will allow the AC function to cool more effectively. But, it is not necessary for it to remain in Cool & Dry mode all the time. Because the AC itself unit will remove some humidity too.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the issue of having to drain the unit every 2 to 3 hours

I think you might have a failing hard drive. if you go into the Boot menu by pressing F12 while it is booting up you will see an option named Hard Drive Diagnostic. This is what you want to run. If it returns an error code of 7 then the drive is most likely failing or failed.
