5.5HP Briggs and Stratton engine - Troy-Bilt Bronco Tiller - starts great, runs great until it gets hot. Once it is hot It will idle fine but when it is engaged it acts like it wants to stall. Eventually it gets so weak it won't dig without stalling. Let it cool off and it runs great until it gets hot again. Any ideas?

Oo.comI need a motor diagram for Briggs and Stratton 5HP shredder chipper

Get the model and type number off the engine and you can go to a website like partstree.com or others and with the brand and the model and type number you can get diagrams of the engine.

I hope this is helpful for you.

Gas tank leak

The gas tank would go with the engine. Find the engine number (Briggs & Stratton?, Kohler? ) You can order it online from Briggs & Stratton parts, or like Jack's small engine, or your local mower parts supply. Common poblem with these plastic tanks.

Briggs and stratton platinum 5.5 hp ohv i/c engine

The carby probably has a block either in the idle, jet or float valve. These are both internal to the carby. To fix this, you will need to pull the carby off the engine and get it serviced by a tradesman. If you feel keen, split the carby apart, then run a very small drill bit (.38-.7mm) through the Jets by hand. Also spray carby cleaner in there and blow out with air blower.

Tilller will not run

Get the model # and serial # off of the sticker. Got to the Troy Bilt site and use the owners manual link. Need to leave off the last 3 numbers of the model #.

If that site does not have the manual, I've found them on the MTD site. I enter only the first 2 numbers of the model # and then hunt for my manual from the list.

If all else fails, you can call Troy Bilt at their # provided on the site.

Hope this helps.
