Hi,

The Computer will not recognize the Walkman when connected, if it is not having enough charge. You can try connecting the Walkman Player to the working USB port on the Computer for 2 hours and check if the player is getting charged. I suggest that you also perform the steps mention on the article given here. Click here to view the steps to troubleshoot the issue. This should resolve the issue.

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

Downloading of CD's to MP3 Player

Are you trying to synch tracks directly from a CD. If you are, you first have to rip the tracks. In windows Media player, you first need to setup the type of file you want to rip to (MP3 in this case). Right click on the top bar of the WMP and select Tools|Options. Select the Rip tab and under the rip settings, change the format to MP3. Select the quality you want (higher quality means less music can be stored on your unit). 192 kbps is a good setting. Now, click OK or apply as appropriate to get out of the menu. Insert your CD and click on the RIP tab of WMP. Your CD's tracks should automatically come up with checks marks beside them. Start the RIP process. Once it is complete, you can then drag the newly ripped files from your library to the Walkman and they should be synched.

Rizone 32gb. Only charging to 3 bars instead of 4 and this takes hours and hours. Can't find shuffle setting and can't drag and drop music. On screen it shows as gone in but when i check player music has...

To charge your player, with the player on OFF, connect it to a computer or other charging device. Then, after everyting is connected, then turn your player to ON. (For some reason, my player doesn't charge if it is already ON while being connected to the computer or other device.) It will charge.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the solution that I use for the music. Connect you player to the computer. Turn it ON after being connected. Go to FILE NAVIGATIONN. Copy your music there. (not in any forler, but as a separate entry in FILE NAVIGATION) Next, disconnect your player from the computer. (Use the SAFELY REMOVE HARDWARE feature for this.)

On the player, there is a PLAY button (NOT THE ONE MARKED "M", BUT THE ONE WITH THE RIGHT FACING ARROW WITH THE TWO BARS) next to the volumn button. After going into the FILE NAVIGATION menue, scroll down to the song(s) and/or music you want to move. Click the song using PLAY. You will see three options: MOVE, COPY, and DELETE. Scroll down to the MOVE option. In the main menue of FILE NAVIGATION, scroll down to MUSIC. Now click the "M" button (the one next to the button with two arrows and one bar). A screen will come up that says that the file is being moved. The song will now be in the MUSIC folder.

You could use the COPY or DELETE features for their respected funtions if you want to when these functions appear.

This is as complete as I can make it.

Mp3

if it doesn't sync, don't worry just open the folder where the music files are stored on your computer, connect your Sony Walkman to your computer and highlight the music files you want to add to the Walkman and select (copy these files) a windows will open for you to select the place you want to copy to, select your mp3 player and click on copy to copy the selected music to your Walkman

NOTE: if you Sony Walkman has a specific folder for music files, you need to move the songs you copied from your hard drive's music folder to the music folder on your mp3 player for the player to recognize the songs in order to play.

The media device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected

Make sure you're not using the media with another program while you attempt to copy/sync it to your device.

Pretty late response, but meh.
