You will need to go to the device manager in order to uninstall the sound drivers. Right click on "my computer", then click on properties at the bottom. Open the hardware tab, then click on the box that reads device manager. This is where you need to be in order to uninstall the drivers or sound card. Once in the device manager, you can right click on the audio or sound device and choose uninstall, or you can open it, open the drivers tab, then click on the uninstall drivers box. Try this and let me know.

Sound not working anymore. Tried reinstalling sound card driver but still not workingmr

You say you had previously had audio so this should fix it. Go to the control panel click on sound and audio devises and check you have not muted it.
If it's not muted right click my computer. Properties. Hardware. Device manager. Check you have no yellow asterisks next to any of the sound, video and game controllers, if you have right click and uninstall. Reboot the system wizard should find new hardware and reinstall the driver correctly.
It's got to be the driver or it's muted the only other thing is the card is faulty and I doubt that as it's built into the motherboard and you would have other problems if that was down.

My acer 5570 does not play any sound when I plug in headphones or a 5.1 system. please help

What operating sustem are you running? If windows, you most likely haven't loaded the sound card drive. Or if yes. then open" Adjust Audio Properties" by right clicking the speaker icon in the system tray. Choose the tab "Audio". Next select the tab "Volume" and make sure there are no checks in any of the boxes and the master volume slider is about 1/3 way up.
