Hello,
Please install and run the below mentioned software to automatically diagnose and fix scanning issue:
HP Scan Diagnostic Utility
After installing this utility,
Press the Power button to turn on the product, if it is not already on.
From the Scanner column in the Scan Diagnostic Utility, select your HP product.
Click Diagnose . The Scan Diagnostic Utility diagnoses various scanning problems, and then displays a list of results. The results display either when the tool detects an error, or when the tool completes the diagnosis and there are no errors.
If this utility doesn't solve your issue, please revert back.
Vertical lines in scanning indicates there is something like dirt between the page that must be scanned and the lamp that lights up and moves, making it impossible for the scanned to read the area where the dirt/paper/etc. blocks the light. this "obstacle" is probably between the glass and the light. Have a look.
67 error is an "internal RAM, scan buffer, Dynamic RAM controller or miscellaneous interface hardware error. That's from the book. If power cycling he printer doesn't fix it, have the formatter board replaced.
Some laptops cannot run some printers/copiers/scanners from the usb ports. If you have always run your officejet from your laptop with everything functioning correctly, there may be a problem with your printer hardware. If you have just tried it with your laptop, it may mean that your laptop cannot power your printer. It might help to plug your laptop into an AC outlet and make sure you have the most current, correct drivers for your printer. You can go to the HP website to download drivers. Will your printer make copies? If not, there may be a problem with the light in your printer which is used for copying and scanning.
You can determine if your problem is with the printer or the laptop by connecting the printer to a desktop by usb or printer port to see if all of its functions work correctly. If they do, you can print from the laptop through a home network.
Ok sir try to turn off the printer if it doesn't. Pull the power cable shutdown your computer then plugged again the power cable of the printer then turn on the pc and printer..If it doesn't change contact a printer technician or bring the printer to the nearest service center. Hope it helps you..
Yes that is unfortunately true, if it is out of warranty they won't be able to replace the printer.
However, it can be traded for upgrade for an HP factory reconditioned printer for a lesser cost.
