Hi there. I have a cd player, portable, with radio, with a cassette player along the bottom. It has a record button and im trying to get the cd onto the tape. I put it on cd mode, then press record/play on the cassette section, however, when I play it back to check, it hasnt recorded a thing...what am I doing wrong?

You need to use an audio CDr, data or computer CDr's will not work in this machine. I don't know this specific machine, but usually you select the input, then 'rec type' eg manual,1 track or 1 disc,then press record to get into record pause,start your source,then press play on the unit to start recording. To finalize, you press finalize then either the play or rec button to start the finalize process.
