Cannot ply dvd but can play cd.befor yes can,but after reformat cannot etect again

Well, this is common laser faliure, after working for several years they just go mailfunctioning and you can't fix them. I highly advice you to keep that one for reading what it can read now, and to buy new device since they are really cheap nowdays, you can get them from ebay or amazon.com under 25 bucks.

You probably just need to install a driver. you should be able to find the one you need on the manufacturers website
